    Helena: My Chemical Romance

I let out a cry as I look at the letter that came in for me from Evan. He's doing better, but he feels so lost, and lonely, and isolated. And he thanked me for, and I quote, putting him where he belongs, and for keeping in touch with his mom so she doesn't worry.

I don't know why, but, this is really hitting home for me. Not the urge to kill and do ungodly things to people, or have sexual sadistic tendencies. It's just...Evan, you know? I know what it's like to wanna quite a really bad habit. To wanna change and to think that the only way to do so is to remove yourself from the equation.

Most importantly, I know what it's like to be afraid of your own mind.

"Vi?" Quinn knocks on the bathroom door.

I sniffle and wipe my face. "Yeah?"

"You've been in there for a while. You okay?"

"Yeah." I get up. "I'm fine. Just got my period." I hold my waist since that's actually true. "I'll be out in a minute."

"Take your time."

"Alright. Thanks." I fold up the letter and place it in my inside jacket pocket. I wash my hands and then dry them. I now exit the bathroom. "It's all yours." I walk past her.

"Hey." Quinn turns me around. "I don't know what fully happened between you and Finn, but, whenever you decide to talk about it, I'm here. We both are."

I nod. "I know, thanks. But there's nothing to talk about. I'm different now and things have changed. I don't feel for him like I used to. I'm moving forward now. I'll see you at school." I turn and head to my room to get my bag.

"Hello?" I answer my ringing phone as I walk down the hallway.

"Hey, it's me." Mom comes through.

"Hi, mom. And look, that offer dad is...offering you, it's between you and him."

"Oh, I know. But, honey, I—I have to tell you something." Her voice strains.

I stop dead in my tracks. "What's wrong?"

"Grandma Amber died."

I blink. "What? When?"

"Last night. She had a heart attack. Are you okay?"

My eyes fill with tears. "How's Grandpa Daniel?"

"Well, he's been better."

"What should I do? Can I do something?" The tears come down.
