December 21st
Dear Bambi,
Greetings from Glasgow! I hope your Holidays are going well. How's life at the castle? Do anything fun?
It's been good being home, but I do miss hanging around with you. Winter break is going great for me! It's been nice to see my parents and little brother Oscar. He's been playing around on my old toy broom and it's really cute. He's pretty talented for a two-year-old. Mum said that I should've invited you to spend the Holidays with us. I didn't even consider that, but maybe next year!
I've put a picture below of my family! That's us all around our Christmas tree.
Hope to hear from you soon,
Oliver

Oliver,
Great to hear from you! I'm glad you're enjoying your Holidays. I can see where you got your love of Quidditch, I don't think I've seen a house with that many brooms on the wall before. It's impressive, really! I love how Oscar is smiling in that picture, he looks so excited to have that broom.
The castle is cold and feels empty. I'm ready for school to start up again. Don't feel bad for me though, I'm perfectly okay spending Christmas in the castle. The twins are always good company, even if we've had some bad run-ins lately with Filch. I've been going out and flying in the mornings. I'm looking forward to learning a longer-lasting heating charm because my hands have been freezing.

Dear Bambi,
Glad to hear you're managing to keep busy and get some practice in! I can only imagine the trouble you and the twins have been getting into. Filch must be on high alert with you three ruling the castle... Just, make sure you don't do anything too crazy, alright? Wouldn't want to see you expelled before I get back.
I've enclosed a little something for you– A pair of Quidditch gloves. I know it's not much, but I thought you might like them. They're enchanted to stay warm, so you can keep flying without worrying about your fingers freezing off.
Anything exciting planned? Hopefully you're also staying on top of your studies!
Merry Christmas Eve Eve,
Oliver

Oliver,
Got your letter early this morning so hopefully my reply gets to you early also. Thank you so much for the gloves! They're perfect. I'll be sure to put them to use today when I go out. It's been snowing like crazy, but it's sort of pretty to fly through. Maybe I'll finally be able to stay out longer without my hands turning to ice.
As for excitement, well... Let's just say the twins and I have been working on a little something that may or may not involve a little surprise when everyone gets back to school. If it works, it'll be the perfect way to kick off the new term... Keep it between us, okay?
Last night, Fred tried to convince me to sneak into the kitchens for some early Christmas treats. Didn't get very far, though- got caught by Nearly Headless Nick. He gave us a stern talking-to but let us off easy. I think he finds our antics amusing.
