BAYLON'S P.O.V

I wanted to keep holding Kaylee until she felt better, but her mom took her away from me. I thought to myself how glad I would be when we are just together and no one could keep us apart. But then I caught myself. Why would I be so angry about her mother wanting to talk to her? I realized that I just wanted her all to myself. Is this what having a mate does to you, If so I didn't like it, not at all. But, I knew that I couldn't live without her and I needed to do something to make sure that would never happen either. But first I needed to talk to my father about the rogues coming to battle us. I didn't know what was gonna happen tomorrow, what our plan was, the strategy, and I needed to know. After everyone left from the area where the stone was thrown, I patched up the window and then I went to find my father so we could talk. He was busy talking to his Beta, so I waited patiently for him to finish. Finally he looked over and saw me and smiled. "Hi son, you need something?" "yes father, I wanted to talk to you about tomorrrow. I really wanted to ask what you had planned for the battle tomorrow." He smiled at me again and led me to his office. Once we entered the room and sat down he looked at me for a moment and then started to speak to me. "Baylon, you intend to fight, dont you?" I nodded yes. We intend to send about twelve wolves in to confront the Rogues because we dont know how many are going to show up for this battle. We cant be sure who is still on Mr. bresettes side, and who has turned to the rogues side. But we will have designated areas where our people will be lying in wait to attack when the time comes. They will be ready to go in if need be." I had to ask. "Father, do you intend to fight?"

He laughed a little, "Of course son this is my pack." I smiled, but I didnt like the idea. " Father, I can do this. You can stay and be here making sure that they don't try some sort of sneak attack to the pack house while we are out there fighting. Do You have some sort of plan if that happens?" He looked at me kind of puzzled. "Son you have really thought about this, I thought that you were so busy falling for that beautiful girl that you couldn't think about anything else." He laughed. I didnt find that funny at all. "Father be serious right now please, this is my family. I want to protect her as much as I want to protect every person in this pack. And they always go straight for the Alpha, I've learned that in training. " He looked at me in shock, It was like I told him that I was going to join the circus or something. "Baylon, you are just a different young man now... When this is all over, I am going to show you what it is to run this pack, I mean really show you. I know that you are going to go away to college after this year of high school is over, and I support that completely, but I want to teach you a lot of what it takes to be an alpha before you leave okay?" I nodded at him and smiled.

He stood up, walked over to me and hugged me. I finally felt my fathers acceptance of me, and it felt great. But once again my mind went to Kaylee, and what we would do when I went to school. "Son I love you and I need you to know that. We have had our issues, but I am glad that all of that led us to where we are right now. I take the blame for alot of our diagreements." I stopped him, "Dad, I was very disagreeable at times." I told him. "Yeah, well you werent always like that," He paused for a moment, "and I was the parent in those situations, I should have tried to understand how you felt more often." I just smiled and hugged him again. "I do love you father." he hugged me tighter, "I love you." I felt so happy when I left his office that I couldnt wait to spend time with him learning about what it was to run this pack. I knew that I was ready to accept and learn everything that there was to know about being a leader. Gone were the days of me fighting my Destiny. I would embrace it for My father and for My Kay...

I looked around for Kaylee throughout the house, but she wasn't anywhere to be found so I figured she must still be talking with her mother. I went to my room and started thinking about the plan that my father had about how the battle should go. I liked his ideas, but I just wanted to brainstorm on some new ones, just in case. I laid there, coming up with some ideas when someone gently knocked on my door. Instantly I thought it was Kaylee. I opened the door and was surprised to see Kaya standing at my door. "Hey.....are you.... lost?" I asked her. "No Baylon I am not lost, I came to speak to you. I want to talk to you about the battle tomorrow. I had visions last night about this and I need you to know what I've seen." My mind first went to, What the hell is she talking about?... So, Kaylees sister is crazy, wow! She snapped her fingers in my face. "Baylon focus, I need you to know that I am a seer. You know like, an Oracle?" I was confused and I guessed that she could see it on my face. "Okay, I can tell the future." She told me. But I still just looked at her. " Baylon I think that your fathers plan to put just twelve people on the front line isn't going to work."
