chapter twenty six~Decisions

Kaylee's P.O.V.

I just couldn't help myself when it came to Baylon. He and I had something that noone else could come in between, not even nehemiah. I felt bad that he may feel like I was leading him on, I wasnt. But I didn't realize the pull that Baylon had over me. We had something that noone else could understand except us two. I didn't even know my old pack, they weren't family to me. But I needed to know them. They were family. I just thought of the extreme cold. Arizona was nice all the time. I wasn't going anywhere, or was I? What would I say to my mom? My dad was probably gonna be so angry. I knew right off that they would be in opposition to my idea, but I just couldn't think about that I had to be with Baylon....somehow.

My mom, brother, and sister finally made it back home and my mom bought pizza for our last supper. Kanen and Kaya decided to set the table with styrofoam ware. We had packed all of the all of our real dishes. I sat down in my usual spot across from daddy who was, of course absent. I guessed wisconsin really did miss him and visa versa. Seems like he would've showed up to help move his family, but I guessed it was kanens job now. We ate and we talked a little. Mom talked about how very excited she was too see everyone and Kanen talked about how he had met our great- grandmother and how wonderful he was. Then he dropped the bomb. "Mom, I found my mate and her name is Annabella Mayotte. I want her to come to Wisconsin with us." We just all sat there. I was in shock and Kaya was
unusually quiet. Finally my mom spoke. "Kanen, have you spoken with Alpha Cloud about all of this? If he says its fine and you talked to her parents and set up all of this then she should plan later to come and be with you in Wisconsin. I don't think that you guys should make plans to just leave so quickly. You are both extremely young." She said nicely. "Mom, I discussed it all with her parents and they understand that she is my mate,  They don't seem excited about the idea, but we are mates. Maybe I need to talk to dad....So maybe she could come in a couple of weeks?" He thought aloud. My mom smiled "That sounds wonderful honey. I am happy for you, tell me, what's she like?" He smiled and started to tell her about how great anna was. I was interested, but I was biding my time just listening to everyone before I dropped my own bomb. Finally we were all done eating and it was time to straighten up. I decided that it was time." Mom, we need to talk." But before I was even able to finish Kaya interupted" your planning on staying here with Baylon away from us your family? Do not do this, don't talk to baylon about this please." "Kaya, this isn't your business. This has nothing to do with you." I retorted.
"Kay, that isnt nice, when did you start talking to your sister so unpleasantly?" She haulted for a moment. " Now whats this about you wanting to stay on Cloud pack territory?" She asked softly. I touched my mothers hand." He is my mate. This is my pack now" I paused for a moment, " I just can't leave him mother. He needs me....to be whole...to run his pack...our pack. And I am older than Kanen" A worried look came over her face. "Kaylee you are only seventeen years old and still in high school. Our pack is in wisconsin now . " My pack is here mom!" I said over excited. then I realized that I was overreacting. "Mom we have six more weeks of school left. I would like to finish here. And I will be eighteen in three months."

She looked surprised at my affirmation. "I was under the impression that you and Baylon hadn't even been speaking to each other. And what about the other boy you've been spending time with? How does he feel about that?" I had to laugh a little. "Mom really? What is it that you have against Baylon? You have been against this relationship since the begining and I can't for the life of me understand why." " I just feel like you need more time. And we dont have it." She looked at me with sympathy, "So you need to leave with us." I gave her a minute before I said,"mom, I'm not going."
She looked up at my brother and sister, " I need to speak with your sister alone okay?" Confusion took Over, now I was overwhelmed with curiosity. She motioned for me to go into our living room space with her and we sat down. "Okay I think that its Time I've told you why I feel like this could be wrong. When I was young we came to this pack, this land. It was for the packs to join together in some sort of coalition. Packs do that for alot of different reasons. Like for young people to find thier mates and to be able to have packs join in unity. We stayed for an entire month for all of the goings on. We also stayed because Alpha Cloud, Baylons grandfather had the most land and resources. He wanted the three packs to stay here. We met at the battlegrounds Micheal and I, we were seventeen." I was shocked by what she was saying to me. But I sat back to hear it all. " We instantly fell in love, we couldn't get enough of each other. I had never felt like that about anyone. He asked his fathers permission for us to get married and everyone was happy. We married and I didn't think that I could get any happier....until the Bresette pack came. When I met your father Kaylee I knew....He.... was my mate.
