Jeremiah spends the night at Dustin's house, and then the next day he and Dustin go to Scoops Ahoy. Dustin thought it would be a great idea to go to Steve with their findings. Jeremiah didn't understand how Steve was supposed to help them, he was surprised Steve even graduated high school.
But Dustin insisted that Steve was the right person for the job. So here they were in the mall on their way to scoops ahoy. Jeremiah waves to his brother as he passes him on his way inside.
"Hi." Dustin greets as Jeremiah just simply waves to his sister.
Robin waves at Jeremiah before staring at Dustin. "Hi."
"I'm Dustin." he introduces himself.
"I'm Robin"
Dustin nods. "I know. Jere talks about you."
"Jeremy talks about you too. All the time. Probably more than the normal human amount." Robin smirks as she watches Jeremiah's glare increase the more she talks.
"Robin!" Jeremiah gives her a look telling her to stop talking. To which she just laughs.
Meanwhile, Dustin continues with the conversation as if nothing happened. "Pleasure to finally meet you. Uh, is– is he here?"
"Is who here?" Robin questions.
Before Dustin can say anything Steve comes busting through the door that leads to the back room. "Henderson. Henderson! He's back! He's back!"
Jeremiah moves to lean up against the counter as he and Robin watch Steve and Dustin pretend to fight with light sabers and Dustin kills Steve.
"How many children are you friends with?" Robin interrupts and Steve just looks at her.
The boys are sitting at a booth eating ice cream, Dustin got a banana split and Jeremiah got a hot fudge Sunday with gummy worms. Jeremiah drowns out the part of the conversation where they talk about suzie.
Steve shrugged. "Yeah. I mean, sure it's not really a good idea for me, though. I gotta keep in shape for the ladies"
"Yeah, how's that working out for you?" Robin chimes in at the counter. Which makes Jeremiah laugh.
"Ignore her," Steve tells Dustin as he's trying to ignore her himself.
"She seems cool" Dustin comments.
"She's not."
"She's a lot cooler than you" Jeremiah mumbles under his breath as he eats more of his ice cream.
Steve ignores Jeremiah's comment and focuses on Dustin. "So, where are the other knuckleheads?"
"They ditched me yesterday"
"No"
Dustin nods. "My first day back. Can you believe that shit?"
