Chapter 8 - early mornings

Fwhips pov:

I woke up by someone shaking me awake. Not violently though. So it couldn't have been Gem. She would levitate me off the bed if she wouldn't have such a big moral compass. I opened one eye. Tried to at least. The light was way too bright. Didn't I close the curtains ? I turned around and tried hiding my eyes in my pillow. "Ughh. Noo I wanna sleep" I groaned, slurring my words in the process. Maybe the mystery person would get the message and leave me to sleep. Even though my sentence came out muffled because of the pillow. I still heard someone giggle at that. A lighthearted laugh. Oh no. When I say I jumped out of bed I mean it. In a matter of seconds I was awake and sitting up in my bed.

And who did I see ? Who else but the prince with the piercing blue eyes. He was smiling at me while sitting at the edge of the bed. His attire was neatly worn and his hair was styled in a way that just matched him. While I probably look like a mess right now. I always do when I wake up.

"Hey. Good morning sleepyhead. Pearl and Gem brought up some breakfast for us to eat." He kept the smile on him face. The smile that would light up an entire room. Wait no. Fwhip no. Stupid Fwhip don't think that.

I looked between his eyes and the place he was sitting at. Why was he sitting there ? Is he just being overly friendly ? My face started burning up. "Uhh. Thanks. Ima just uhh get ready. Yea.... Uhhh" I said looking down to avoid his gaze. This is so embarrassing. Stop blushing Fwhip. What kind of an idiot are you ?

The awkwardness must have spread to Sausage as well. He started rubbing the back of his neck and quickly stood up. "Yea you should" he laughed awkwardly.

„Yea lemme just drag myself out of bed" I groaned again. Sausage started laughing at that. And started smiling again while watching me crawl off my bed like a worm. Well I basically almost fell. But in worm-style. Yea I'm great I know.

"It's only the first day and you already don't wanna be here ?" Sausage started laughing at me again.

"Oh cmon. I'm just not a morning person" I said half asleep again.

Once I got the mental energy to actually carry myself on my two legs I was standing next to the Mythland prince himself. And it only took 10 minutes.

"I really need to wake you up earlier if you continue taking so long to even get out of bed" he laughed at me. Me taking 10 minutes to even wake up gave Sausage enough time to lean against the door frame and watch something on his phone. These phone addicts these days. Can't live without checking it even after waking up.

"Oh please that's not even that much. My record is 4 hours" I yawned while saying that. Walking past him to get ready in the bathroom.

"I'll be in the kitchen with your breakfast. Just please don't take too long or we'll be too late for class" he reminded me as if I was a little child. I may act like it but how could you blame me for it. I've never gotten enough attention as a child. That's a joke for legal reasons.

"Fwhip. Classes start in 15 minutes. Whats taking you so long in there ?" Sausage started knocking on the bathroom door.

"Uhh I'll be right out. You can start walking to class if you want ?" I said nervously trying to get my wings back into my back. How does this magic even work ??. I took the wing and tried squishing it back. That kinda hurt. Who knew wings could be so sensitive.

"You don't know where to go silly" he laughed through the door.

I groaned that's right. I wasn't there when they had the school tour. I need Sausage to lead me to the classroom. But I can't get these wings in.
