In the Cardinal World, time flows differently. Rimuru Tempest had seen 15,000 years go by since he reincarnated here from Earth. Over the centuries, he had shaped the world and its people, establishing the Kingdom of Tempest as a safe haven for all who sought peace. But peace doesn’t mean inactivity, and Rimuru had plenty to keep him busy.

The latest task on his plate? Returning a group of 10,005 kids, aged 10 to 12, to their home worlds. These children had been summoned to the Cardinal World against their will, victims of failed rituals and misguided ambitions. After defeating Feldway 10,000 years ago, Rimuru had the time to deal with these kinds of loose ends.

His travels brought him to a world that felt eerily familiar, like a version of Earth that had forgotten magic but embraced technology. This was no ordinary Earth though it was a place called Academy City, filled with espers and strange powers. Rimuru, along with the kids, landed in this place like an unexpected breeze.

Rimuru had barely set foot in this world when he was met with hostility. Out of nowhere, a surge of power lashed out at him. Rimuru didn’t even flinch; it was like feeling a raindrop when you’re used to hurricanes. The attack came from a young man with stark white hair and an air of overconfidence Accelerator, they called him.

Accelerator eyed Rimuru with a mix of suspicion and arrogance. “Who the hell are you? You think you can just stroll into my city and do whatever you want?”

Rimuru’s golden eyes blinked slowly, taking in the scene. He could feel the kids’ anxiety behind him, their small hands clutching at his cloak. He smiled softly, trying to keep things light. “I’m just passing through, helping some kids get home. Didn’t mean to step on any toes.”

Accelerator wasn’t buying it. His response was another wave of power, this time more intense, aimed to tear apart the very fabric of reality. Buildings around them twisted and cracked, the ground beneath them groaning under the strain.

Rimuru sighed. This wasn’t what he had planned for the day. With a mental nudge, he engaged his Thought Acceleration, stretching time to the point where Accelerator’s movements seemed almost comically slow. Ciel, Rimuru’s ever-loyal partner, chimed in within his mind, her voice laced with mild irritation.

“Shall I take care of this, Rimuru-sama?”

“Go ahead,” Rimuru replied with a shrug. “Let’s just get this over with.”

Ciel didn’t hold back. She bypassed Accelerator’s vector control, something the young esper relied on almost entirely. Thought Acceleration, a trick Accelerator prided himself on, was pushed to an absurd level, turning each second into an agonizing eternity. Accelerator’s brain struggled under the strain, the world around him dissolving into a blur of information he couldn’t process.

But that wasn’t enough for Ciel. She decided to have a little fun. With a flicker of her will, she rewrote Accelerator’s identity, overlaying his mind with fake memories. One moment, he was a thug with a heart of gold, the next, he was a confused father of two, a teenage girl, and even a mix of identities that made no sense. It was like a surreal nightmare, with Accelerator trapped in a maze of thoughts and memories that weren’t his own.

Rimuru watched as Accelerator’s once fierce expression crumpled into one of utter confusion and fear. But Ciel wasn’t done. She layered on dream after dream, fake realities that trapped Accelerator in a loop of mental anguish. Each dream was more disorienting than the last, turning his mind into a chaotic landscape where nothing made sense.

“All right, Ciel, that’s enough,” Rimuru finally said, feeling a twinge of pity for the young man. “We’ve got other things to do.”

“Understood, Rimuru-sama,” Ciel replied, her tone almost smug. She knew she had overdone it, but she also knew Rimuru wouldn’t really mind.

With Accelerator incapacitated, Rimuru turned his attention back to the kids. They looked up at him with wide, scared eyes, clearly shaken by the strange events that had just unfolded. They hadn’t seen the battle, but they felt the tension in the air, the pressure of power that only Rimuru could emit.

“Don’t worry,” Rimuru said, offering them a reassuring smile. “We’re heading home now.”

With a casual wave, Rimuru opened a portal a shimmering gateway that led back to the Cardinal World. The kids hesitated at first, but Rimuru’s calm demeanor gave them the courage to step through. One by one, they entered the portal, leaving behind the strange, unfriendly world.

Rimuru was the last to step through, pausing to take one final look at Academy City. It was a place filled with powerful beings, each wrapped up in their own struggles and ambitions. But to Rimuru, it was just another stop on his journey, another world in an endless multiverse and reality.

As the portal closed, sealing off the connection between the worlds, Rimuru felt a sense of relief. The Cardinal World welcomed him back with its familiar sights and sounds, a stark contrast to the cold, mechanical city he had just left.

Back in the Cardinal World, the kids were safe. They stood in the lush fields of Tempest, the sun shining brightly overhead. The anxiety they felt moments ago had already started to fade, replaced by a sense of wonder at their new surroundings.

Rimuru knew that his job was far from over. There were more kids to return, more worlds to visit. But for now, he was content to enjoy the moment. He had protected these children, guided them through a dangerous encounter, and brought them back to a place where they could finally be safe.

Rimuru chuckled to himself, thinking back on the day’s events. He hadn’t planned on getting into a fight, but it had turned out to be a little more interesting than expected. And while Ciel had definitely gone overboard with Accelerator, it was a reminder that even the strongest beings had their limits.

As the kids ran off to explore their new home, Rimuru couldn’t help but smile. He had seen countless worlds, faced unimaginable dangers, and wielded power that defied understanding.

Because no matter how vast the multiverse was, no matter how many challenges lay ahead, Rimuru knew that he would always find a way to protect those who he care most . Even if it meant bending the rules a little, or trolling a few overconfident espers along the way.
