Can't Have Both

The Diner

Quick Note : NOT A KWON AND TORY SHIPPER. PLS Don't give me hate!🙏------------------------------------------------------

Tory sat in the front seat of Kwon's car. Back in the Valley she probably would've smuggled something from a bar, but since they were in Barcelona she didn't know where to go. She had just told Kwon that so he could take her somewhere away. 

Finally they decided on a diner. They entered and sat in a booth. Tory ordered something to eat but wasn't hungry. Kwon ordered too and then they sat there.

Tory was on her phone. She was checking her notifications and found miss calls from some of the Miyagi's. 

She got a voicemail from Amanda. She stared that. She would listen to it later. She also got messages from Sam.

Sam: Tory, how are you?

Sam :You doing okay?

That was it. No other messages from her. That was right after she had left. No other attempts to contact her. She deleted them.

She also had a bunch of messages from Robby.

She deleted them. 

 Kwon attempted to start a conversation.

" So how long have you been fighting?" He asked. She knew he meant karate, but she thought in her head, her whole life.

" Few years." She said. She didn't feel in the mood to talk so she asked him something.

" How about you? How was it training in Korea. With Sensei Kim?" She asked. Curiosity got the better of her.

" Before Sensei Kreese came I didn't care for Karate. I didn't listen and didn't follow directions. It was fun. But then Kreese came and showed me the  true meaning of the fist. Using your anger. So out of anger I took out the others and became top student." He said. Tory nodded. She once had been in the same position. They could relate.

" Did you have fun with Sensei Kim? It seems you two already know each other." 

Tory nodded. " After Kreese went to jail Sensei Silver called her in. And she trained us and helped us get to the Sekai Tekai, but Silver got arrested so Cobra Kai ended. I initially joined Miyagi Do to get to the Sekai Tekai. I can't go to college so this would be the last great thing."

" Wait why?" He asked. She shrugged.

" I was on probation for almost a year." At his questioning look she added, " I sort of started a school fight that got a kid paralyzed. He was my ex. And my other ex kicked him off the 2nd story so he couldn't walk for a while but he's better now. "

" Wait I have so many questions." Kwon said shaking his head. " So you caused a kid to get paralyzed?" He asked. She nodded. " Why did you start that fight?" He asked amused. 

" So Sam, she was my enemy, she's captain for their team, she kissed my boyfriend at the time, Miguel. They're dating now. And her boyfriend at the time, Robby, was the one who kicked him off." She said. She wasn't sure why she was telling Kwon all this, but she needed a distraction.

" Sounds like you guys swapped boyfriends." He said laughing slightly. She shook her head. She didn't want to talk about Robby right now.

" I broke up with him." She said. He made an "oh" shape with his mouth and nodded.

" Ok next question, why did you leave?" He asked. She froze. If she told him it would mean she admits her mom died, but if she didn't it would seem like she had no reason. So she said,

" They wouldn't let me be captain. " She said harshly and looked down.

He could tell by her tone and body language she didn't want to talk about it. He just nodded. 

" So you like Sensei Kim?" He asked. She just shrugged.

" She seems more , what's the word... sensible with Sensei Kreese. Like she lets him lead. With Silver it was the opposite. They made me..." She stopped.

" What?" Kwon asked curious. " She talked about you once. She said you almost lost them a chance to the Sekai Tekai. I'm surprised she teamed with you." 

Tory nodded.

" Well, I.. My mom was sick so I had to help her." She lied. He might tell Kim and she couldn't let her know.

" But yeah, they made me break stone for a punishment. It broke my hand.

Kwon just nodded. " Eh, she could do worse." He said to lighten the mood. Tory laughed. 

Kwon also laughed and as their food came they were still laughing.

Just then Robby walked into the diner and sat down at a table with Miguel, Sam, Devon, Eli, and Demetri. He heard laughing. It sounded like Tory and he turned. Sure enough he saw Tory. With Kwon. 

They seemed to settle down and slowly started to eat their food. Robby stared at them. Tory was drinking her iced tea when she caught sight of Robby. She imediatly looked down. 

" Hey, you almost done?" she asked Kwon.

" Just finished." She nodded and said, 

" Let's get out of here before Kreese and Kim are on our backs." She said and starting getting up. Kwon put money on the table and stood up behind her. He started leaving but Tory turned and saw Robby. They made eye contact.

His eyes were so sad and she wanted him so bad. But Kwon was leaving and he was her only ride. So she turned her back on him and left. 

Robby just stared at the spot she was standing at, wishing she would come back.
