Tory knew Robby would kill her for what she was going to do. To keep that out of her mind she focused on training for the Sekai Tekai tomorrow. Tomorrow would be the qualifiers. Then the next day would be the final 8.

Tory wasn't sure what to do. She was lost, confused, and scared. She had to follow Kreese. But she wanted Robby.

She was playing with fire. She was praying Robby wouldn't give up on her. She really hoped he wanted her as much as she wanted him.

If he gave up on her and went out with another girl after what she was going to do she would never forgive herself.

She kept fighting with herself. She couldn't do anything to do with Robby. She tried her best not to cry, but it was so hard. She needed to talk to someone who would understand.

She called Devon.

Kreese had forgotten about her, not really knowing her, so Tory let it be.

RING

RING

RING

Tory was about to give up, but on the last ring she answered.

RI- " Hello?" Devon answered.

--------------------------------------------------------

Devon heard her phone ringing.

It was 4 in the morning. She turned over to see Robby, scrolling his phone. He was awake. She saw him fall asleep, but he must have gotten back up.

" Robby, you need to sleep. The Sekei Tekai is tomorrow." She said, getting her phone.

He looked at her. " Fine. " He said, putting down his phone and turning over. She looked at the contact and immediately got up and out of bed. Robby turned to look but she dashed out the room, going into the lobby that was nearly empty except the person at the front desk.

" Hello?" She asked.

---------------------------------------------------------

Tory was so relieved when she answered. She let out a sigh and said," Hey. Not bothering you am I?" She asked.

Devon laughed. " It's 4am and I was sleeping so I think you did." She said jokingly.

" OH, I'm sorry. I can call you back if-" " No, its fine. I was joking." She said. Tory sighed in relief.

" Good. I just... I need to talk to someone. And it can't be Robby. I can't talk to him." The fear in her voice gave Devon enough information as to why she couldn't talk to Robby.

" Yeah? Tell me anything you need. I'm all ears." She said an sat down.

" Devon, please don't tell anyone. You're the only one I can trust. " Tory paused. Then she went on.

" I'm suffering here Devon. I can't face Miguel and Sam and the other senseis. I can't. The only one I've faced and actually been myself was Robby, but Kreese threatened me not to talk to him. I can't. But I have too. And... with my mom's death..." That was the first time Tory openly talked about it. She finally admitted it happening. " I just can't. I need help. It's too much. but I need to be in the Sekei Tekai. This is the last great thing I can ever do. With my track record. I just... I'm so so tired. I'm so fucking tired." She said. " But I can't sleep. Devon... I think I love Robby." She ended.

They sat there for a while. " Robby really does care about you, Tory. I'd be dumb to think he didn't love you. Just look at how he looks at you." She said.

Tory leaned her head against the wall. " I know. That's the problem. And I can't even get a hold of him. My sensei made me delete everyone from Miyagi-Do. But not you because he didn't know you. You were in Silver's Cobra Kai. Not his." Devon hummed a yeah.

" Tor, I'm sorry. I know how you feel, and it's no fun. I just want you to know, if you need to talk I'm always available."

Tory just nodded. She didn't have the strength to smile.

"Hey, we should get some sleep. We have to train I guess later today, considering the time. And the tournament is tomorrow."

" Yeah, sorry about that." Tory said.

" No problem. See you on the mat?" Devon asked.

" If you can get to me." Tory joked.

" Oh, you'll see me. I'm very prepared." Devon said smiling.

Tory laughed. " Sure Ms. Confident. See you tomorrow." She said.

" Tor, wait!" Devon said.

"Yeah?"

" Please don't hurt Sam. We all saw the look in your eye when you fought her."

Tory didn't respond. She was upset with Sam. How could she not hurt her. But Devon needed sleep so she said, " Yeah. Ok. Sleep well. Goodnight."

" Goodnight."

Tory hung up to think about that. The good part of her knew not to hurt Sam. But the evil, vengeful, and hateful part? It wanted her to release everything she had. She turned and tried to sleep. She then realized. She didn't warn Devon on her plan.

----------------------------------------------------------

Devon hung up and headed back to the room only to find Robby on his phone again. She sighed and grabbed his phone.

"Hey!" He shouted.

"Sleep." She said. " You're a team captain. You need strength for practice and the tournament."

" How can I be team captain without Tory?" He asked. He sighed and hunched over.

" Hey, think about it this way. If you win, and she tries, you two could be up there together. Not as dojos, but as individuals." She said.

Robby just sat there.

" Devon, I really lost the love of my life, huh." He said. She saw a tear on his face and said,

" She loves you. You know it. Her mom's death is just hard on her. Give her time. But you need to stay healthy, and losing sleep isn't. So sleep."

" Yes mother." Robby joked. Devon smiled. She won. She turned over and went to sleep, thinking about Tory and Robby.
