Can't Have Both

Heartbroken

Kwon took Tory back to the hotel. 

" Hey, did something happen back there?" He asked. " You seemed tense." 

" Yeah, don't worry about it." She said. Any reminder about the boy she loved triggered her now. As the Sekai Tekai was approaching she had to stay focused. 

They arrived at the hotel and Tory went straigh back to training with Sensei Kim.

Robby stared at her. He knew she was aware he was there. When she got up to leave he knew she would look at him. 

And she did.

They made eye contact for 7 seconds. He counted. Then she turned. He knew the look on her face. She was overwhelmed, grieving, but most importantly upset. 

He hated seeing her like this. But he also hated the fact that she was with another boy. 

Who was that? He had seen him when they were at the location for the Sekai Tekai. Were they dating? No. That wasn't possible. Or was it? She broke up with him. The thought of Tory with someone else left him heartbroken and angry. No. It couldn't be true. Right?

"Robby"

"Robby"

"ROBBY" Miguel said loudly. Robby snapped out of his daze and turned to answer him.

" Yeah?" He asked. 

" You alright?" Miguel asked. " You seem a little out of it." He said.

Robby shook it off. " Fine." He said. He wasn't going to tell the others he had seen Tory. " Hey, I'm going to take an Uber back to the hotel. I'm going to check out the city." He said. Before Miguel could respond he was off.

Robby needed to clear his head. No way Tory left him for that guy. No, it couldn't be true. Robby walked around the city, before finding a park. He sat on a bench thinking.

Suddenly tears started streaming down his face. He quickly wiped them away and changed his facial expression. Growing up without his dad and his mom always away, he  was used to disappointment and sadness. He had  just never fell this hard for someone. He cared for Tory so much and couldn't bare to leave her. But he had to. Because she had left them for Cobra Kai.

And only because Daniel wouldn't let her fight.  

Suddenly  Robby got upset with Mr. Larusso. He had lost Tory because of him. He went back to the hotel looking for him.

He found him in the courtyard and walked up to him.

" Hey Robby. Everything alright?" He asked.

" NO." He shouted. " Tory's gone because of you, and she's not coming back." He said.

Mr. Larusso let Robby yell at him for 5 minutes, but eventually Robby started crying and he put his arm on his shoulder to comfort him.

" I'm sorry." He cried. 

Daniel shook his head. " No, your right. I shouldn't have done that. I should've listened to her. In the moment I just acted. I was scared of Sam getting hurt. At the time I wasn't thinking. I shouldn't have pushed her away." He said. 

" No." Robby said. " I should have gone after her." Mr Larusso let him cry and eventually he calmed down. He took a deep breath before speaking.

" Sorry Mr. Larusso. Its just... I saw Tory today." He said looking down, embarrassed. 

" Oh." Daniel said. 

" And she was with a boy." Robby mentioned. 

" OH" Daniel said, understanding. 

" She broke up with me anyway, so it doesn't matter. But I just got sad when I saw that, and we made eye contact. But she turned." Robby said. 

Daniel nodded. " I know its hard Robby. But it'll be alright. You know it. After this tournament who knows? I'll get out of being a full time sensei, and Tory might quit karate. Especially since her mom..." He trailed off.

Robby nodded. Daniel consoled him. They were ok. 

But it didn't change the fact that Tory was gone. And it was partly Larusso's fault.
