Can't Have Both

Remembering

Tory watched the video play. She missed the feel of Robby. She missed those times when she was tired and he was there to make her day better. She missed how she kissed him. She missed snuggling with him. 

Stop, she thought. Now wasn't the time. She had to get Keene out of her mind. 

But she couldn't. Maybe because for the first time in her life she had felt safe and loved. And Robby was the one who made her feel that way. Acknowledging that she loved him was scary. But she really did. Tory loved Robby. 

Tory rewatched the video. She remembered those days. She was always tired. She still is but she was more tired then. She had 2 jobs and her mom was getting worse. But Robby had come over and asked if she wanted to do a movie night.

" Brandon, get the door please." Tory said, her head on the counter. She was exhausted. Her boss had overworked her and she didn't get any sleep the day before because her mom was up all night needing help.

" Tory, I'm watching this." Brandon responded. His eyes were glued to the screen. Tory groaned and slowly got up. The knocking continued. 

" COMING!" Tory shouted. She opened the door  saw Robby. 

" Surprise!" Robby said before kissing her. He put his hands on her waist and she slowly moved her arms to his neck. The kiss was meant to be quick,  but Robby deepened it and Tory let him. She was exhausted but felt safe in his arms. 

" Tory who is..EWW" Brandon said, covering his eyes. Tory and Robby immediately jumped apart. Tory sheepishly looked down and Robby looked away. 

" Hey Brandon." Robby had said. Brandon gave him a hug and then Robby sat on the couch. He put his phone on the table. 

" You guys want to do movie night?" He asked. Tory was on the verge of falling asleep but for Robby anything.

" Sure. I'll get popcorn." She walked over to the kitchen. Robby scrolled through and made sure to find a movie appropriate for all of them. Finally he settled on Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Tory brought the popcorn over and snuggled into Robby. Brandon sat on a chair and the movie started. Tory willed herself not to fall asleep because she didn't want to disappoint Brandon. Halfway through the movie Brandon had gotten a hold of Robby's phone somehow and started making a video. 

" Brandon put Robby's phone down." She had said and Robby replied with,

" It's fine Tor, let him have fun." She giggled and replied fine. Brandon had made a thing about them being together and Tory owned it. 

" My sister likes him. They're boyfriend and girlfriend. " Brandon said. 

" So everyone watching, he's mine. He loves me and me only. Right?" Tory had said to Robby.

" Of course. " He said leaning in for a kiss. She obliged .

"EWWWW" Brandon said. Trying to keep it PG Robby kept his hands off her. 

Later that night they had been talking. Brandon was in bed already and Tory was talking to Robby.

" Hey, if something happened to me would you stay or leave me?" She asked. 

" Stay of course. I love you Tor. Forever and always ok?" He said. She nodded.  She had bags under her eyes.

" Hey, you ok?" He asked. 

" Fine. My boss just has been working me overtime. And my mom kept me up all night. But she seems to be getting better according to the doctor."

Robby nodded." That's good. Why don't you sleep. " Tory just nodded and he walked her to her room. 

" OK, well I better get going." He said. 

" NO." Tory said, grabbing his shirt. " Stay. Please." She pleaded. He saw the look in her eyes. Fear. From what. He had no idea. What he did know was that he couldn't leave her alone then.

" OK." He said. And they got into bed and fell asleep in each other's arms.

Tory couldn't believe how long ago that seemed. She always looked forward to those days.

STOP. 

Why was she still thinking about Robby. It was so hard not to though. The other video had been a memory of when she thought she would always be with him. Everything would be fine but it wasn't. Why? She didn't know. Her life was messed up. 

She had sat in her bed and saw something wet hit her phone. 

A tear.

She hadn't even realized she was crying.

She had to be stronger. Why was she crying over a boy? Because she loved her. Sensei Kim was right. She was weak and it was because of the boy. The boy who was messing with her brain. The boy who she had spent hours moping over. That was done. She was done with that. She couldn't anymore. She got up and took a walk around the hotel.

Then she did something she knew she could get in trouble for. She found Kwon. He was training with Sensei Kreese. She saw his car keys and phone on the table. She knew they could see her if she went to find it so she waited until they took a break. 

13 minutes later they went inside and to her luck he left his keys. She got it and ran to his car. From there she drove to the park. She needed to clear her mind and couldn't properly do it near everyone involved in this karate war that cost her Robby. She sat on the bench and hung her head to cry.

" Tory, hey, you ok?" Robby asked. She looked up and immediately put her fists to her face in a fighting position not realizing who it was. It took her a minute but after a sec she shouted,

" ROBBY? HOW THE FUCK DID YOU FIND ME?" She was, upset. She went to take her mind off him. Not be with him.

" Iphone tracker. You forgot to remove me."
