Robby saw it all. She destroyed her opponent. Something had happened. He knew it. She wasn't ok. As she was striking, as she was punching, as he saw the fear in the opponent, and the danger in her eye, he knew something was up.
He felt useless. He looked over, helplessly, wishing he was there with her. To comfort her. To get rid of her pain. He longed to hug her, kiss her, be in her presence.
She glanced at him. He looked away. His fight was starting soon enough. He didn't want to get distracted. But how could you not? When it was Tory who was distracting him.

Keene's eyeing me, Tory thought. Her mind was stuck on the night before. She couldn't get it out of her mind. The call. She knew she would have to answer. After all she had been through, she couldn't have the body taken away from her. But once she got it, what would she do? She had to think about it. Her mom was gone. Now came the next phases. She needed to get work done for her mom.
It was hard. Too hard. She needed a break. She was tired and hungry. She felt bad for herself. She shouldn't. But she did.
Her mind kept making her feel things she didn't want to. She was too consumed in these bad thoughts. She used it on the other fighters. As far as she was concerned, they were the enemies.
She looked over. There he was. Still fighting. By the looks of it, winning. She expected that. Although she did hope he would lose, there was nothing she could do about it. She didn't want to fight him if it came to that. She just hoped she would fight someone else.
She still loved him. With everything going on. She just needed him out of the way. She needed to do this, and if she fought him, she would fall apart. She had already cried more in the last few days than in the past few years.
She needed this win as much as any other person. No. Probably more. She couldn't live with herself if she lost.
She won her fights, and to make her mood worse, her next fight was Samantha Larusso.

" Ok, so what should I say?" Sam asks Robby.
He shrugged. " You don't really talk in fights do you?" He said looking down. He had been glad he wouldn't need to fight Tory. It was that boy who he would be fighting. But fighting Tory would be way worse.
" It'll be fine. It'll be fair this way. The refs aren't being paid. Their professionals. And she won't hurt you." Miguel said, although that last part sounded more like a question than a statement.
Robby nodded along. Sam glared at him. " Not really helping, are you?" He looked, trying to find Tory, but didn't see her. He felt bad for Sam. In all honesty, he wasn't sure who would win. He didn't know who he was rooting for.
Tory or Sam.
Cobra Kai or Miyagi-Do.
Tory or Miyagi-Do.
His head was spinning. He did however see the boy. The one Tory was always hanging out with. The one he would fight.
He would win. No, he must win. To be with her. That was his only wish. To win with her. Everyone else could go to college, get nice jobs, become rich. But that wouldn't matter to him. This moment will. Forever. No matter how it played out.
He barely acknowledged Sam as she went to her fight. The others wished her good luck, but he just nodded his head. The rest of them could tell. He didn't want Sam to win. He was on Tory''s side.
