Can't Have Both

Anger

Tory had made it back in time for practice. Kreese didn't even know his keys were missing so she slipped it into his pocket when he wasn't looking. She couldn't stop thinking about Robby. She still had him blocked in case Kreese looked into her phone, but she felt remotely better.

" Come on Nichols. Your missing all the blocks and hits." Kwon said. " You ok?" Kwon asked.

" Yeah, yeah... I'm fine. Totally. Let's just get back to practicing." She said. 

" If you need to talk you can." He responded. She just kept hitting. She felt horrible. She had lied to Robby again. She had only gone to appologize but things had gotten out of control. She hadn't meant to panic. She hadn't meant to be vulnerable.

Fuck. She said mentally. No way she was going to win. With him in the back of her mind.

Forget him. But that was hard to do. She kept remembering their kiss. 

" Tory, I think you need a little motivation." Kreese said. " Think of something that makes you...angry."

Something that made her angry? She had tried abandonment. It didn't work. She thought for a second, then she came up with it. Responsibilities. She had been responsible for her mom, her brother, the school fight, what happened at Prom, Silver, Kreese, the All Valley, leaving Miyagi-Do, joining Cobra Kai. She either was responsible or always got the blame. Couldn't life just leave her alone? For once? It was always her fault. When Sam did wrong people would hug her and tell her everyone made mistakes. When Miguel did wrong his mistakes got covered up by his achievements. Even when the others got involved in the school fight. They had their parents to back them up. All she had was herself.

She focused on that as she hit Kwon. This time, she landed every single strike.

" I don't understand the big deal!" Devon shouted at Robby. " They need to know!"

" No. If they all knew Tory was here... it just wouldn't be good." Robby said.

" Your reasoning makes no fucking sense. Look, I won't tell them you too almost ha-"

" WE DID NOT!" Robby yelled. Devon looked away. She was making no big deal out of this.

" We should tell the others. Keeping secrets is bad. I should know. I've kept my fair share, and when the truth comes out it never ends well." 

" Sure. You've kept secrets." he said sarcastically. 

" Oh my FUCKING GOD KEENE!" Devon shouted. They had been fighting for the past hour. Devon wanted to tell the Miyagi-Do's Tory had come in case it could help them out. She felt it would be safer to tell, but Robby wanted to keep it a secret.

" SHIT LEE! WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME? I TOLD YOU NO!"

" WHY THE HELL NOT?"

" YOU AREN'T LISTENING!" They were both out of breath. Robby was panting and she was rubbing her forehead.

" Everything alright in here?" Miguel asked. Him and Sam walked in looking slightly scared, mostly worried. Devon closed her eyes and took a breath. 

" We heard yelling, but couldn't make out what you two were shouting about." Sam said slowly. 

Devon opened her eyes and looked at Robby. He took a breath and said mostly to Devon, " Peachy." 

Miguel looked to Devon. She nodded. " Absolutely perfect." She said sarcastically. She hadn't meant to but Sam caught on.

" What happened?" She asked. Robby glared at Devon. 

" Oh I'M SORRY, you want to keep THAT A SECRET TOO?" She shouted. 

" Secret?" Miguel asked. 

" GREAT. LOOK WHAT YOU FUCKING DID LEE!" Robby shouted back. Devon groaned and clenched her fists. She looked ready to kill him. 

" WOW. Both of you calm down." Miguel said. " I think you two have been together for too long. Maybe tonight I sleep here?" Miguel said, not wanting to start problems. His plan backfired. 

" Thanks a lot Lee." Robby said.

The whole reason this argument even came about was because Robby mentioned Tory would just end up ignoring him again. Even if she remembered what happened, Kreese would make her do something to hurt him again. No matter how many times she kissed him, and said she loved him, and cried to him. If Kreese was in the picture those moments rarely happened.

Devon made a face at Robby. " What does THAT have to do with anything? I couldn't give two shits if-"

" Ok ENOUGH." Sam said. " Why are you two fighting?" Robby face planted onto his bed.  He was tired, and this was making it worse. 

" Someone answer!" She demanded. 

" I'm going for a walk. " Robby announced. He got up. This was too much. 

" I'm going out too." Devon said. She left the room before Robby. 

" Wait!" Miguel grabbed Robby. " What was that about?" Robby just shook his head and left.

" Yeah, looks like you're sleeping here tonight." Sam told Miguel, kissing his cheek. Miguel Rolled his eyes.

" LEE! Where are you going?" Robby shouted, catching up to her.

" Tory." She answered. 

" Why?" He asked.

" To make sure she doesn't go back to ignoring us. I'm going to walk up to Kreese and give him a piece of my mind." She said. Robby shook his head.

" You're going to get your ass kicked. And not to mention SERIOUSLY HURT!" She just tutted. 

" If you care so much come along." She said. She was still mad at him, but Tory needed her. Robby checked the time. He wasn't sure if he should.

" We have to be back in 1 hour." He said.

" Ok."

" Fine."

Not sure why I made them fight. I got the idea of them fighting and had no idea how to start it and resolved it so I got creative. Its not the best.... So if you don't like it I understand. I'm not really a fan myself. But I have a really good idea for the next ch
