Sunoo had always been the sunshine of ENHYPEN. With his bright smile and cheerful disposition, he made the day-to-day grind of idol life a little more bearable for everyone. But lately, something was different.

It started with a slight headache that he tried to shake off. Then the fatigue set in, weighing down his usually energetic steps. By the time the cough started, deep and rattling in his chest, Sunoo knew something was wrong. But he hated the hospital. The sterile smell, the needles, the cold beds—it all reminded him of the times he'd spent there as a child, back when he was much more fragile.

So, Sunoo did what he did best: he put on a brave face. He laughed a little louder, smiled a little brighter, and brushed off any concern with a wave of his hand.

"Just a little tired, that's all," he'd say whenever one of the members asked if he was okay. "You know how it is with the comeback preparations."

But as the days passed, it became harder and harder to hide. His voice started to crack, the normally crystal-clear notes sounding strained. His legs felt like they were made of lead, and he found himself needing to sit down more often, even during practice. He barely touched his food, and when he did, it was just to avoid questions.

"Sunoo, are you sure you're okay?" Heeseung asked one evening as they all sat down for dinner. Sunoo barely touched his rice, poking at it absentmindedly with his chopsticks.

"Yeah, hyung, just not really hungry," Sunoo replied with a weak smile. But the minute he said it, his stomach churned, and he had to excuse himself to the bathroom, where he barely made it to the sink before retching.

The sound of Sunoo vomiting sent alarm bells ringing in Heeseung's head. He rushed to the bathroom, finding Sunoo pale and trembling, leaning heavily on the sink.

"Sunoo, this isn't just being tired," Heeseung said, his voice tinged with worry. "We need to get you to the hospital."

"No," Sunoo said, shaking his head weakly. "Please, I'll be fine. I just need some rest."

But as Heeseung looked at Sunoo, really looked at him, he could see the fear in his eyes—the fear of being poked and prodded, of being told something was seriously wrong. Heeseung sighed and crouched down next to him, gently placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Sunoo, you're burning up," Heeseung said softly. "You're not going to get better without help."

Tears welled up in Sunoo's eyes, and he hated it. He hated feeling this weak, this vulnerable. But more than that, he hated the idea of going to the hospital.

"I just... I don't want to go back there," Sunoo admitted, his voice barely a whisper. "I hate it."

Heeseung's heart ached at the sight of his dongsaeng, normally so full of life, looking so scared and worn down. He wrapped his arms around Sunoo, pulling him into a comforting embrace.

"I know, Sunoo, I know," Heeseung murmured, stroking his hair. "But you don't have to go through this alone. We'll be with you every step of the way, okay? You don't have to be scared."

Sunoo clung to Heeseung, his body shaking as he finally let out the tears he'd been holding back for days. He felt the comfort of his hyung's words, and despite his fear, he knew he couldn't keep pretending he was okay. Not when it was getting harder and harder to hide how sick he really was.

"Okay," Sunoo whispered, his voice breaking. "I'll go."

Heeseung helped him back to the living room, where the rest of the members were waiting anxiously. The minute they saw Sunoo, pale and teary-eyed, they knew something was seriously wrong.

"Sunoo..." Jungwon started, but Heeseung shook his head.

"We're taking him to the hospital," Heeseung said firmly. "He's been hiding how bad he's really been feeling."

There were no arguments, just quick, worried nods as they all sprang into action. Jake grabbed Sunoo's jacket, Ni-ki got his shoes, and Sunghoon called their manager to let him know what was happening.

As they drove to the hospital, Sunoo leaned against the window, feeling the cool glass against his burning forehead. He still hated the idea of going, but with the members by his side, their quiet reassurances filling the car, he knew he wouldn't have to face it alone.

The hospital was just as he remembered—bright, cold, and clinical. But this time, as they walked through the doors, Sunoo felt a little less afraid. The others were there, supporting him, reminding him that he didn't have to be strong all the time, that it was okay to be scared, and that they would be there to hold his hand through it all.

After being examined by the doctor, it turned out Sunoo had a severe respiratory infection. He was admitted for treatment, and as he lay in the hospital bed, surrounded by beeping machines and the sterile smell he hated so much, Sunoo still felt uneasy. But when the door opened, and the members walked in, their worried faces softening into smiles when they saw him, he felt a little more at ease.

"See? It's not so bad," Jungwon said, trying to lighten the mood as he pulled up a chair beside Sunoo's bed. "Plus, you get all of us as your personal nurses."

Sunoo chuckled weakly, the sound rough in his throat but genuine. "I guess that's not too bad."

As the night wore on, the members stayed by Sunoo's side, telling stories, cracking jokes, and just being there for him. And as he drifted off to sleep, he realized that maybe the hospital wasn't as scary as he'd thought—not when he had his family there to make it a little brighter.
