Sunoo had always been particular about his health. He was the type to meticulously follow skincare routines, drink plenty of water, and make sure he got enough sleep—even on the most hectic days. But there was one habit that had the other members worried: his reliance on vitamin supplements.
It started off innocently enough. Sunoo would pop a couple of vitamin gummies with breakfast or take a multivitamin after lunch. But as their schedules grew more demanding and meal times became more irregular, Sunoo began to rely on supplements more than actual food. Instead of sitting down for a proper meal, he’d grab a handful of vitamin tablets or mix up a quick protein shake, insisting that it was enough to keep him going.
“Sunoo, you can’t keep doing this,” Jungwon said one evening as they sat in the living room. He watched as Sunoo tossed back a few more supplements with a glass of water instead of eating the dinner that had just been delivered. “You need real food.”
“I’m fine, really,” Sunoo replied with a bright smile, brushing off the concern. “These have all the nutrients I need. It’s quicker, too. No need to sit down and eat when we’re so busy.”
Heeseung frowned, leaning forward. “But you’re missing out on so much more than just vitamins. Food has nutrients that you can’t get from supplements alone. Plus, eating is important for your energy and overall health. We don’t want you to get sick.”
Jay nodded in agreement. “We all take supplements, sure, but they’re supposed to be in addition to food, not a replacement for it. You can’t just rely on pills and powders.”
Sunoo tilted his head, a slight pout forming on his lips. “But it’s easier this way. I don’t feel as heavy when I’m performing, and I don’t have to worry about eating when we’re rushing between schedules.”
“But you’re losing weight,” Jake pointed out gently. “And not in a healthy way. Your body needs fuel, not just vitamins.”
Ni-ki, who had been quietly listening, spoke up. “Hyung, food is also about enjoying life. Remember when we went to that restaurant last month? You said it was the best meal you’d ever had. You wouldn’t want to miss out on experiences like that, right?”
Sunghoon, always the voice of reason, added, “We’re just worried about you, Sunoo. We don’t want you to push yourself too hard. Your health is important to all of us.”
Sunoo looked around at his members, their concern evident in their eyes. He realized that while he thought he was being practical, he hadn’t considered how his habits might be affecting him in the long run—or how much it worried the people who cared about him.
With a small sigh, he nodded. “Okay, I get it. I’ll try to eat more real food. But you guys have to help me. Sometimes I just don’t feel like eating when I’m stressed or busy.”
Jungwon smiled in relief, patting Sunoo on the back. “Deal. We’ll make sure you’re eating properly, and if you’re too tired to eat, we’ll eat together.”
From that day on, the members made it a point to ensure Sunoo was eating well. They’d remind him to take breaks and sit down for meals, and sometimes, they’d even cook for him. Over time, Sunoo began to enjoy those moments of shared meals, realizing that food wasn’t just about nutrition—it was about bonding, comfort, and taking care of himself in a way that supplements alone couldn’t provide.
And in return, Sunoo made sure to remind the others to take their vitamins, ensuring they all stayed healthy together. It was a small change, but it brought them closer, reinforcing the idea that they were all looking out for each other, in every little way.
