The night was buzzing with excitement. ENHYPEN had just wrapped up a powerful performance at a major award show, and the energy in the venue was electric. Fans were cheering, lights were flashing, and artists were navigating the crowded backstage area. Sunoo, with his usual bright smile, was following closely behind his members as they made their way through the maze of staff, idols, and equipment. But the backstage area was chaotic, and in the hustle of the moment, Sunoo got separated from the group.
For a moment, he stood still, trying to spot his members among the crowd. His eyes scanned the room, but all he saw were flashes of familiar yet not-so-familiar faces—other idols from different groups rushing by, stylists carrying outfits, and managers guiding their artists. A twinge of nervousness crept into his chest. He hadn't meant to drift away, but in a blink, he was alone.
Just as he was about to turn around, hoping to retrace his steps, Sunoo bumped into someone. "Oh! I'm sorry—" he started, looking up to see none other than Seungkwan from SEVENTEEN, who was also part of the chaotic backstage crowd.
Seungkwan turned around, his surprised expression softening instantly upon seeing Sunoo. "Oh, Sunoo-ya! Are you okay?" he asked with a warm smile. His voice was gentle, like he was speaking to a younger brother. The rest of SEVENTEEN members, who were nearby, quickly gathered around upon hearing Seungkwan's voice.
Sunoo gave a small nod, his cheeks flushed slightly from embarrassment. "Yes, I'm okay. I just... lost my members in all this crowd," he explained, his voice softer than usual. It wasn't often that he found himself separated from his group in such a massive, bustling environment.
Jeonghan, standing close by, exchanged a knowing glance with Joshua. "Poor thing," Jeonghan said, his voice filled with affection. "It's easy to get lost in all this chaos." His eyes softened as he patted Sunoo's shoulder lightly. "Don't worry, we've got you."
The SEVENTEEN members seemed immediately charmed by Sunoo's situation. Mingyu bent down slightly to meet his eyes, his voice playful. "Do you want us to help you find your hyungs, Sunoo-ya? We can keep you company until we do."
Sunoo's face lit up at their kindness, his initial nervousness beginning to fade. "If it's not too much trouble..." he murmured, feeling a mix of gratitude and slight embarrassment at having to rely on his sunbaes like this.
"Trouble? Not at all!" Woozi chimed in, giving him an encouraging smile. "We'll just have to make sure you're comfortable in the meantime." Without hesitation, they began forming a protective circle around Sunoo, guiding him through the crowded backstage area.
The SEVENTEEN members were immediately whipped by Sunoo's cuteness. Vernon couldn't help but chuckle when Sunoo's wide eyes sparkled with curiosity as they passed other artists, and Dino made sure to keep talking to him, asking light-hearted questions to keep his spirits up. "What do you usually do when it gets this crazy?" Dino asked with a grin.
"Usually, I stay close to my members," Sunoo admitted sheepishly, fiddling with the hem of his jacket. The honesty in his voice and his slightly shy demeanor melted their hearts even more.
Meanwhile, back where ENHYPEN had last been, panic had started to set in. Jungwon was the first to notice that Sunoo was missing from their group. His eyes widened in worry as he looked around frantically. "Where's Sunoo?" he asked, voice tinged with concern.
Heeseung and Jay quickly turned around, their expressions shifting from calm to anxious. "He was right behind us a minute ago," Jay muttered, scanning the crowd. Ni-ki and Jake were already looking around, standing on their toes to get a better view over the sea of people.
As the group began to move through the crowd, calling out Sunoo's name, Sunghoon's face turned pale. "What if he's lost?" he said, his voice filled with worry. "It's too crowded, and Sunoo hates it when things get overwhelming."
Back with SEVENTEEN, Sunoo was feeling more at ease. They had brought him over to a quieter corner where they could keep an eye out for ENHYPEN while chatting with him. Seungkwan, always the mood-maker, was cracking jokes, making Sunoo giggle softly. Every time Sunoo laughed, a collective "aww" would echo through the SEVENTEEN members, their hearts melting further.
Soon enough, ENHYPEN's frantic search paid off. Heeseung spotted Sunoo from across the room, surrounded by SEVENTEEN. His breath left him in a relieved sigh. "There he is," he said, pointing out Sunoo to the rest of the group. They quickly made their way over.
As they approached, Sunoo noticed them and immediately broke into a bright smile. "Hyungs!" he called, his voice filled with relief.
The members of ENHYPEN rushed over, practically engulfing Sunoo in a protective group hug. "Are you okay?" Jungwon asked, his eyes still wide with concern. "We were worried sick!"
Sunoo nodded, his smile never fading. "I'm fine! SEVENTEEN sunbaenims were taking care of me," he said, turning to look at the SEVENTEEN members with gratitude.
Jeonghan smiled softly. "He was a little lost, but we were happy to keep him company until you guys showed up."
Sunoo bowed deeply, his eyes filled with sincerity. "Thank you so much, sunbaenims, for taking care of me." He was truly touched by their kindness, and the SEVENTEEN members couldn't help but smile in return.
"Anytime, Sunoo-ya," Mingyu replied with a wink. "But make sure you hold on to your hyungs next time, alright?"
With everyone laughing and the atmosphere now much lighter, the two groups parted ways. As ENHYPEN walked back together, Sunghoon kept a protective arm around Sunoo's shoulder. "You scared us, you know," he murmured, a hint of a smile on his lips.
Sunoo, feeling the warmth of his members' concern, chuckled softly. "I'll be more careful next time, I promise."
Backstage, the little incident quickly made its way to social media. Fans were quick to notice how SEVENTEEN had doted on Sunoo, and soon, clips of their interaction began circulating online. The hashtag #SunooProtected trended for days, filled with fans commenting on how adorable the interaction was and how lucky Sunoo was to have not only his members but also his sunbaes looking out for him.
And for Sunoo, it was a night he'd always remember—not just for the award show itself, but for the feeling of being surrounded by so much love and care, both from his own members and his sunbaes.
