After finishing my study session, I finally wrapped everything up. It was already 11 p.m.
According to my dad, I should have been in bed by 10 o'clock, but finishing the syllabus on time so I could have enough time for revision had completely messed up my sleep cycle.
I cleaned up my study table, changed into my night suit, and debated whether to do my skincare routine. Too much work. So instead, I simply turned off the main light, leaving only my bedside lamp on.
Reading before sleeping was my escape, my way of leaving reality behind for a while. As soon as I picked up my current romance novel, I got lost in its pages.
Until I heard it.
Knock.
I froze. My heart pounded at the sudden noise. Who would knock at this hour? And definitely i wasn't used to hear knock almost at night.
Slowly, I got up and opened my bedroom door. No one. My eyebrows furrowed in confusion. My gaze immediately shifted toward the balcony.
Pushing the curtains aside, I saw him.
Vihaan.
Standing there with a mischievous smile, he signaled for me to open the door.
I saw him completely dressed in a black shirt paired with black jacket and jeans.
Definitely looking Deliciously hot.
'You need to update your system Ruhanika, your precious yet intelligent brain can die with heart attack after listening your vocabulary,' my brain muttered in horror.
I ignored my brain stupid comment.
Wait. What he is doing here? Is he going on in some fashion show.
I quickly opened it, stepping outside, "What are you doing here at this hour? Are you crazy? What if someone sees you?" My voice was a whisper but filled with urgency.
"I told you not to climb up this ladder! What if you fall and hurt yourself? You are the most stubborn guy I have ever met. Why don't you ever think before acting...."
Before I could go on, Vihaan placed a hand over my mouth and pulled me closer by my waist.
My glare met his mischievous smile.
"Meri bullet train, ruk jao. Waise toh aap bolti nahi hain, magar ek baar shuru hoti ho toh rukti nahi ho," he teased, his voice laced with amusement.
(My bullet train, stop for a while. You barely talk otherwise, but when you start, you don't stop)
I huffed and motioned for him to remove his hand.
The moment he did, I crossed my arms, "Now tell me, why are you here?"
"I'm here to take you on a date," he said, pulling me even closer.
