Chapter 7:

Word of their relationship spread quickly, and soon, the team began to notice the subtle changes in Paige and Azzi's behavior. During a team meeting, jana suddenly spoke up, a knowing smile on her face.

"So, are you two ever going to tell us what's been going on, or do we have to figure it out ourselves?"

Paige and Azzi exchanged a glance, their hearts racing. This was the moment they had been both dreading and hoping for. With a deep breath, Paige decided to take the leap.

"Actually... there's something we need to tell you all," Paige began, her voice wavering slightly. "Azzi and I... we're together."

The room went silent for a moment as the words hung in the air. Then, Caroline broke the silence with a grin. "It's about time you two admitted it! We've all been waiting."

A wave of relief washed over Paige as she saw the supportive smiles on her teammates' faces. Jana nodded in agreement, a soft smile on her lips. "Yeah, we've had our suspicions for a while."

Kayla chuckled, crossing her arms as she leaned back in her chair. "You two aren't exactly subtle, you know."

Paige and Azzi exchanged a sheepish glance, but the tension in the room had lifted. Aubrey, who had been quiet until now, spoke up, her voice warm. "We're happy for you both. As long as you're happy, that's what matters."

Paige felt a surge of emotion as she looked around the room, her heart swelling with gratitude. The fear of rejection had been overwhelming, but here, surrounded by her teammates, she realized that their bond was stronger than any secret.

As the meeting wrapped up, the team gathered around Paige and Azzi, offering their congratulations and support. The love and acceptance they felt from their teammates made everything worth it.

That night, as Paige and Azzi sat together in their dorm room, they reflected on the journey that had brought them to this point. The road had been challenging, but now, with their relationship out in the open and the support of their team, they knew they could face anything that came their way.

The season was over, but their story was just beginning. And as they looked toward the future, they knew that whatever challenges lay ahead, they would face them together, stronger than ever.
