Chapter 11:

It was a chilly morning, and the campus was wrapped in a blanket of frost. Inside Paige and Azzi's dorm room, the atmosphere was warm and comforting. Paige had woken up feeling unwell, her body aching and her head pounding with a persistent headache. Azzi had noticed her distress almost immediately and had been taking care of her all morning.

Paige was wrapped in a cozy blanket, propped up in bed with several pillows. Azzi had prepared a cup of hot tea and was currently placing a bowl of soup on the nightstand. She had been attentive and nurturing, doing everything she could to make Paige comfortable.

"Here you go," Azzi said softly, handing Paige the steaming mug of tea. "Drink this; it should help with the sore throat."

Paige took the mug with a grateful smile, sipping slowly. "Thanks, Azzi. I really appreciate it."

Azzi sat down on the edge of the bed, brushing a strand of hair away from Paige's face. "No problem at all. Just focus on getting better."

The door to their dorm room creaked open, and Kk, Ice, and Aubrey peeked in. They had come to check on their friends, knowing that Paige had been feeling under the weather. When they saw Azzi taking care of Paige so tenderly, they couldn't help but notice the affectionate dynamic between the two.

"Hey, how's Paige doing?" Kk asked, her voice gentle as she stepped into the room.

Paige looked up, her eyes tired but grateful. "I'm managing. Azzi's been amazing."

Ice and Aubrey exchanged glances, clearly touched by the sight of Azzi's attentive care. "We brought some extra blankets and some more soup," Aubrey said, holding up a bag. "Just in case."

Just as Paige sets her mugs down and turns over snuggling between Azzi's chest

Azzi smiled, grateful for the help. "Thank you, that's really kind of you."

"Ohh look Paige's trying to take advantage over Azzi while she's sick we see you Paige" kk says as she grins"

"Shut up Kk" Paige says in a slow and tried voice

As they settled in, Kk and the others took a seat around the room, chatting softly to avoid disturbing Paige. Azzi continued to fuss over Paige, adjusting the blankets and making sure she was as comfortable as possible. Paige, despite feeling miserable, seemed comforted by Azzi's constant presence.

At one point, Paige shifted in bed, reaching out to hold Azzi's hand. "Can you just stay here with me?" she asked, her voice a little hoarse but earnest.

Azzi nodded, sitting down beside Paige and holding her hand gently. "Of course. I'm right here."

The girls watched from the sidelines, their eyes softening as they observed the tender interaction. Ice leaned over to Kk and whispered, "Look at them. Azzi's really going all out with the caregiving."

Kk nodded, a smile tugging at her lips. "Yeah, it's really sweet. And Paige is so clingy—she's definitely taking advantage of Azzi's care."

Aubrey chuckled softly, adding, "It's kind of cute how much Paige relies on Azzi. It's like she's turned into a big baby."

Paige, overhearing their conversation despite her half-asleep state, mumbled, "I'm not a big baby. I just need my girlfriend."

Azzi smiled, gently squeezing Paige's hand. "You're not a big baby. You're just my baby, and I'm here to take care of you."

Kk, Ice, and Aubrey exchanged amused glances, clearly enjoying the affectionate display. They continued to chat quietly among themselves, letting Paige and Azzi have their space but clearly captivated by the loving scene.

As the day went on, Azzi remained steadfast by Paige's side, attending to her needs and making sure she had everything she required to rest and recover. Paige's occasional murmurs of appreciation and her tendency to cling to Azzi only reinforced the bond between them.

By the time evening rolled around, Paige was feeling a bit better, though she was still wrapped up in blankets and leaning heavily on Azzi. The rest of the team had left them to their cozy corner, understanding that sometimes the best thing to do was to simply let love and care take their course.

Azzi finally took a seat next to Paige on the bed, who had fallen asleep with her head resting on Azzi's shoulder. Azzi gently stroked Paige's hair, her own eyes soft with affection and relief that Paige was starting to recover.

"Rest up," Azzi whispered, her voice barely above a murmur. "You'll be back to your usual self in no time."

As Paige shifted slightly in her sleep, snuggling closer to Azzi, a contented sigh escaped her lips. The warmth and love between them were palpable, creating a soothing sanctuary amidst the cold outside world.

In that quiet, tender moment, the bond between Paige and Azzi was as clear as ever. Azzi's dedication and Paige's clinginess were a testament to their deep connection and the strength of their relationship, making the day a reminder of the simple, profound ways love could manifest.
