Chapter 18:

The night was young, and the campus was alive with the buzz of students heading out to parties. After a successful game win earlier in the day, the basketball team decided to unwind and celebrate. Ice, always up for a good time, was particularly excited. The team had been invited to one of the biggest parties of the semester, and she was ready to let loose.

The house party was already in full swing by the time Ice and her teammates arrived. Music blasted through the speakers, and the living room was packed with people dancing, talking, and laughing. Ice, Kk, Paige, and Aubrey made their way through the crowd, grabbing drinks and finding a spot near the kitchen to survey the scene.

As they settled in, Ice's attention was drawn to a boy standing near the punch bowl. He was tall, with dark hair and a confident smile that caught her eye immediately. They exchanged a few glances before Ice decided to make a move. With a quick, playful wave to her teammates, she sauntered over to him.

Paige, Kk, and Aubrey watched with amused interest as Ice struck up a conversation with the boy. It wasn't long before the two were laughing and chatting like old friends, their chemistry evident even from across the room.

"Look at Ice go," Kk remarked, nudging Paige with her elbow. "She's not wasting any time."

Paige chuckled, shaking her head. "She's always been smooth. Let's see where this goes."

A few minutes later, the trio noticed that Ice and the boy had moved from talking to something much more intense. They were now seated in a chair, arms wrapped around each other, completely oblivious to the rest of the party as they made out passionately. It was like they couldn't get enough of each other, and the sight was both surprising and entertaining.

"Wow, she really went for it," Aubrey said, laughing as she watched the scene unfold. "They're practically eating each other's faces."

Kk snickered, taking a sip of her drink. "Go, Ice! Get it, girl!"

After a while, Ice broke away from the boy, her cheeks flushed and her hair slightly tousled. She walked back over to her teammates with a satisfied grin, plopping down into her seat as if nothing had happened.

"Did you two have a good conversation?" Paige asked, her tone dripping with sarcasm.

Ice smirked, shrugging nonchalantly. "Yeah, you could say that. He's...interesting."

"Interesting, huh?" Kk teased, raising an eyebrow. "I think you skipped a few steps in that conversation."

The group burst into laughter, Ice included. The night continued with more dancing, drinking, and jokes, but it was clear that Ice had made quite the connection with the boy.

As the party started to wind down, Ice decided to text him, inviting him over to her place. It didn't take long for him to agree, and they headed back to her dorm together. They spent the rest of the night watching Netflix, talking, and eventually falling asleep on the couch, tangled up in each other's arms.

The next morning, Paige and Kk, unaware of Ice's overnight guest, decided to drop by her room to see if she wanted to grab breakfast with them. They knocked on the door, and when there was no answer, they let themselves in. The sight that greeted them was not what they expected.

Ice and the boy were fast asleep on the couch, cuddled up under a blanket. Kk's eyes widened in surprise, while Paige stifled a laugh, trying not to wake them.

"Well, well, well," Kk whispered with a grin. "Looks like Ice had a pretty eventful night."

Paige nodded, her voice equally hushed. "Should we wake them up?"

Kk shook her head. "Nah, let's let them sleep. But we're definitely giving her a hard time about this later."

They quietly left the room, closing the door behind them, and headed to the dining hall. When Ice and the boy finally woke up, he said his goodbyes and left, but not before exchanging numbers with Ice.

Later that day, the team gathered in the dining hall for lunch. Kk, always the instigator, decided it was the perfect time to go live on TikTok. She propped up her phone on the table, and soon enough, they were chatting and joking around with their followers.

Of course, it didn't take long for Kk to bring up the events of the previous night. "So, Ice," she began with a mischievous grin, "care to tell us what happened after the party?"

Ice rolled her eyes, but she couldn't hide the smile tugging at her lips. "We just hung out and watched some Netflix. Nothing major."

"Oh, nothing major?" Paige chimed in, leaning into the camera with a teasing smile. "Is that what they're calling it these days?"

The rest of the team burst into laughter, and Ice playfully swatted at Paige. "Okay, okay, maybe it was a little more than just Netflix."

As the team continued to joke around, Ice noticed a few of their TikTok followers commenting on the situation, some asking for more details, while others simply congratulated her on her successful night.

Kk, always the entertainer, decided to keep the fun going. "Alright, Ice, on a scale of 1 to 10, how was the Netflix and chill session?"

Ice blushed, laughing as she shook her head. "You guys are ridiculous."

"Come on, Ice, give the people what they want!" Aubrey egged her on, grinning widely.

Ice pretended to think for a moment, then finally gave in. "Fine. I'd say it was a solid 9. Happy now?"

The team erupted into cheers and applause, while the TikTok live comments lit up with reactions. It was all in good fun, and Ice couldn't help but enjoy the playful teasing from her friends.

As the live stream continued, the team joked around about potential future encounters with the boy and whether or not Ice would be seeing him again. Ice, still blushing from all the attention, just smiled and shrugged, leaving it up in the air.

By the time the live stream ended, the team was in high spirits, their bond even stronger after the shared laughter and teasing. Ice knew she'd never live this one down, but she didn't mind. After all, what were friends for if not to keep you humble—and to make sure you always had a good story to tell?
