Chapter 12: 

The fall semester was in full swing, and with it came a series of group projects and presentations. Azzi and Paige were both busy with their classes, but they made time for each other whenever they could. However, a new complication arose when Azzi was assigned to work with a classmate named Landon on a project.

Landon was friendly enough at first glance, but he quickly made his interest in Azzi known. He was charming and persistent, and despite Azzi's polite but firm boundaries, he continued to push the envelope. Paige had heard about Landon from Azzi, but she hadn't given it much thought until she noticed Azzi spending more time with him outside of their usual study hours.

The feeling of unease started to gnaw at Paige, particularly as she saw Azzi and Landon laughing and talking animatedly during their project meetings. The jealousy she felt was unfamiliar and unsettling, but she tried to ignore it, focusing on her own responsibilities.

One afternoon, Paige decided to surprise Azzi with a small gift—an assortment of Azzi's favorite snacks and a handwritten note expressing her love and appreciation. She walked into the study room where Azzi and Landon were working, the gift bag in her hand and a smile on her face.

As Paige entered, she saw Landon lean in and place a quick, unsolicited kiss on Azzi's lips. Azzi was taken aback, her eyes wide with shock. The sight of this intimate gesture sent a wave of betrayal through Paige. She stood there, frozen in disbelief, her heart sinking as she processed what she had just witnessed.

Landon, noticing Paige's stunned reaction, smirked. "Oh, hey, Paige. Didn't see you there."

Without waiting for a response, Paige turned and fled the room, tears streaming down her face. She ran straight to the common room, collapsing onto the couch in a fit of sobs. The girls, who had been hanging out nearby, heard the commotion and rushed to see what had happened.

Kk, Ice, and Aubrey found Paige on the couch, her face buried in her hands. The sight of her distress made their hearts ache.

"What's wrong, Paige?" Kk asked gently, her concern evident in her voice.

Paige looked up, her eyes red and puffy. "I saw Azzi with Landon. They were kissing, and I—I can't believe she was cheating on me."

Ice and Aubrey exchanged worried glances, immediately understanding the gravity of the situation. They surrounded Paige, offering comforting hugs and reassurances.

"It's going to be okay," Aubrey said softly. "I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation."

"I'm sorry you had to see that," Ice added, rubbing Paige's back soothingly. "Let's talk this through."

As they comforted Paige, Azzi, who had followed Paige into the common room, approached with a guilty expression. She had overheard the commotion and realized how Landon's actions had hurt Paige.

"Paige, I'm so sorry," Azzi said, her voice filled with regret. "Landon crossed a line, and I should have stopped him. I didn't think he'd take things that far. I never wanted to hurt you."

Paige looked at Azzi, her eyes filled with hurt and anger. "Yeah okay just stay away from me cheater." Paige said as she moved over from Azzi

Azzi knelt in front of Paige, taking her hands gently. "I understand. I want to make it right. I love you, and I would never do anything to hurt you intentionally."

"MOVE AZZI STOP TOUCHING ME YOU KISSED SOMEONE ELSE INFRONT OF MY FACE AND EXPECT ME TO OKAY WITH THAT" Paige said as she throws Azzi gift on the floor infront of her

The girls, seeing how distraught Paige was, decided to help her feel better. They invited Paige to sleep in the extra bed in Kk and Ice's room for the night, ensuring she had a safe and comforting space away from the situation. Paige accepted gratefully, the support of her friends providing some solace.

Meanwhile, Azzi turned to Kk, Ice, and Aubrey, her expression determined. "I want to make it up to Paige. I need to show her how much she means to me. Can you help me plan a surprise date?"

Kk, Ice, and Aubrey immediately agreed, their faces lighting up with enthusiasm. "Of course," Kk said. "We'll help you plan something special."

Over the next few days, the girls worked together to create the perfect surprise. They organized a romantic picnic in a secluded part of the campus park, complete with Paige's favorite foods, flowers, and a carefully crafted playlist of songs that were meaningful to their relationship.

On the day of the surprise, Azzi went to Kk and Ice's room to gently wake Paige. She sat on the edge of the bed, softly calling her name.

"Paige, wake up," Azzi said softly, her voice filled with love and warmth. "I have a surprise for you."

Paige slowly opened her eyes, seeing the tender look in Azzi's face. "What's going on? And what do you want Azzi." Paige says with her hoodie on as her face filled with eye bags

Azzi smiled, holding out a bouquet of flowers. "I want to show you how much you mean to me. I've planned a special date, just for us."

Paige's eyes filled with hope. She took the flowers from Azzi, her heart swelling with love. "Thank you, Azzi. But why are you here you cheated."

"Paige when u walked in he quickly kissed me I didn't want it but anyways just get ready" Azzi says

Azzi helped Paige get ready, and together they headed to the park. The sight of the picnic setup brought a smile to Paige's face, and as they sat down together, she felt a renewed sense of connection and love.

Throughout the evening, Azzi poured her heart into every detail of their date, making sure Paige knew how much she was cherished. They talked, laughed, and enjoyed each other's company, the earlier tension melting away with every shared moment.

As the night came to a close, Azzi and Paige walked hand-in-hand, their bond stronger than ever. The love and effort put into the surprise had helped heal the wounds, and they ended the evening with a renewed sense of understanding and affection.

Back at the dorm, Kk, Ice, and Aubrey watched from a distance, their hearts full of satisfaction knowing they had helped their friends navigate through a difficult moment. The support and love within their circle had turned a challenging situation into an opportunity for growth and deeper connection.
