The weekend began with an unsettling atmosphere. Jimin had been acting strangely distant towards Y/n, and despite her attempts to bridge the gap, he remained aloof. Y/n brushed off his behavior, attributing it to a possible overreaction. After all, she hadn't done anything to warrant his cold demeanor. Instead, she focused on her weekend plans, which included spending time with Taehyung. On Saturday morning, Y/n and Taehyung had planned a relaxed day together. They lingered over breakfast, enjoying the easy camaraderie that had marked their recent interactions. Taehyung, always in good spirits, teased Y/n about her cooking skills. "You know, if you ever get tired of the media company, you could always open a brunch spot," he joked, taking another bite of the French toast he'd made.
Y/n laughed, playfully nudging him. "I think you're the only person who'd be willing to eat my cooking every day."
Their morning passed in a comfortable blur of laughter and conversation. After breakfast, Taehyung and Y/n decided to head out to run some errands. Taehyung was scheduled to stay at Y/n's place that evening, something she didn't mind at all. She appreciated his company, especially since Jimin's recent behavior had been weighing on her mind.
As the afternoon approached, Y/n couldn't help but reflect on the last time she had hung out with Yoongi and Hoseok. That day, Sinead (Sines) had canceled their plans, causing a last-minute rescheduling for Saturday. Y/n had initially been disappointed but was now eager to catch up with everyone. She had already planned to pick up Sines before heading to Hoseok's place.
Standing in front of her closet, Y/n contemplated her outfit for the day. She settled on a casual yet stylish ensemble: a pair of dark jeans and a comfortable blouse, perfect for a day of socializing. After getting dressed, she took a moment to check her phone for any last-minute messages from Sines. Seeing none, she gathered her things and turned to Taehyung, who was lounging on the couch.
"Hey, I'm heading out to pick up Sines. Are you good here?" she asked, her tone light but her mind preoccupied with Jimin's recent behavior.
Taehyung looked up from his phone, flashing her a reassuring smile. "Yeah, I'm fine. I'll just hang out here and catch up on some reading. Enjoy your time with Sines and Hoseok. When I'm done, I'll put the spare key in your letterbox and leave after cleaning up."
Y/n nodded, feeling a bit of relief at Taehyung's casual assurance. "Thanks, Taehyung. I'll see you later then. Don't let the place get too messy."
As Y/n left for Sines' place, she tried to push thoughts of Jimin to the back of her mind. She was excited about the evening ahead and looking forward to reconnecting with her friends.
Y/n arrived at Sines' apartment, her excitement evident as she knocked on the car window. Sines, who had been sitting in the driver's seat, looked up with a start and then smiled broadly upon recognizing Y/n.
"Hey there!" Sines greeted, rolling down the window. "Sorry again for canceling on you the other day. I was really looking forward to this catch-up."
"No worries at all!" Y/n replied, waving off the apology with a grin. "I'm just glad we could reschedule. I've been missing our hangouts."
Sines opened the car door and stepped out, giving Y/n a warm hug. "I've missed hanging out with you too. I was actually thinking about how we haven't had a chance to talk in ages. Let's make today fun!"
Y/n nodded enthusiastically. "Absolutely. I'm excited to see Hoseok's new place. He's been talking about it non-stop."
The two friends climbed into Sines' car, and Sines started the engine. As they drove towards Hoseok's house, their conversation flowed easily. They chatted about recent events, exchanged updates about mutual friends, and laughed about old memories.
