As the day wound down, Y/N found herself restless and unable to focus on her tasks. Emery had given her a heads-up that Jungkook had accidentally told Jimin about her crush on Taehyung. Additionally, Taehyung had mentioned Y/N's crush on him to both Jungkook and Jimin in a conversation earlier that day, unaware of her and Jimin's secret relationship. Feeling the weight of the situation, Y/N knew she needed to talk to Jimin about her feelings for Taehyung.

Gathering her courage, Y/N made her way to Jimin's office. The door was slightly ajar, and she could see him sitting at his desk, lost in thought. She knocked lightly on the doorframe, catching his attention.

Jimin looked up, his expression softening as he saw her. "Hey," he said, his voice gentle. "Come in."

Jimin looked up from his papers, masking his surprise with a friendly smile. "Hey, Y/N. What's up?"

Y/N stepped inside, closing the door behind her. She took a seat across from him, fidgeting with the hem of her blouse. "I wanted to check on you," she began, her voice tentative. "We haven't really talked all day."

Jimin sighed, leaning back in his chair. "Yeah, it's been a long day," he admitted, his eyes searching hers for something—reassurance, maybe. "A lot on my mind."

Y/N looked at him, taking a step closer to his desk. "Want to talk about it?" she asked.

Jimin's smile didn't quite reach his eyes. "Yeah, it's been a tough day. I was just talking to Jungkook about some stuff."

Y/N nodded, trying to read his expression. She assumed Jimin was still dealing with the aftermath of the earlier conversation, unaware of the full extent of the emotional storm he was experiencing. "I hope everything is okay."

Jimin's eyes flickered with a brief, unreadable emotion. "I appreciate you checking in. It's just been a lot to process."

Y/N shifted her weight, feeling a pang of guilt. She had hoped to talk to Jimin about her feelings, but it seemed like the right moment had slipped away. "I just wanted to let you know that... I've been thinking about things a lot lately. About my feelings for Taehyung."

Jimin's expression tightened slightly, though he kept his voice steady. "Oh? What about them?"

Y/N bit her lip, trying to find the right words. "I had a talk with Taehyung recently. I told him that my feelings were... silly. I didn't want to jeopardize our friendship or make things awkward."

Jimin's eyes narrowed slightly, a flicker of something unreadable crossing his face. "That's mature of you, Y/N. It's tough when feelings get complicated."

Y/N felt a mix of relief and unease. "Yeah, it's been confusing. I thought maybe it would be best to distance myself from him for a while."

Jimin nodded, though there was a tightness in his jaw. "Sometimes distance can help clear things up."

Y/N hesitated before speaking again. "I hope Taehyung is okay. I know he had to react to me having a crush on him. It must be hard for him. I just... didn't want things to be awkward between us."

Jimin's eyes darkened for a moment, the weight of his unspoken thoughts evident. "It's always difficult when feelings aren't reciprocated. But sometimes, it's the best thing to do for everyone involved."

Y/N looked at Jimin, sensing an underlying tension. "I didn't mean to add to his problems. I just wanted to be honest. He is my best friend. After all, he knows me for years. He probably feels disgusted that I had a crush on him. I'm sorry for not telling you sooner; I was trying to figure things out."

Jimin managed a forced smile. "I know. And I appreciate your honesty. It's just a complicated situation for everyone."

Y/N nodded, her heart heavy with the weight of their unspoken truths. "I guess we all have to figure things out in our own way."
