Back in Jimin's penthouse, he sat motionless, the weight of his decision pressing down on him like a physical burden. His fingers hovered over the phone, his heart pounding in his chest. He had told Y/N they needed a break, a decision he made in haste, tangled in his own guilt, and fear of facing the messy reality he'd created between her and Savannah.

The moment she read the message, his guilt deepened. He knew she was hurt. The little dots appeared on his screen as if she was about to respond, then disappeared again. Each time they vanished, his anxiety spiked. She was struggling, and Jimin knew it. He wanted to take it back, to tell her he was sorry, but the complicated mess of his emotions and relationships made him freeze. He felt trapped by his own choices.

Meanwhile, in the Dubai penthouse, Y/N sat alone on her bed, the glow of her phone screen still casting shadows on her tear-streaked face. She wiped her eyes quickly, trying to compose herself, but the sting of Jimin's message lingered. The hurt mixed with exhaustion, jet lag making everything feel heavier.

She needed comfort, but the person she needed the most had just pulled away. Her thoughts wandered to Taehyung. He had always been her safe space, her best friend, and the one person who could calm her when everything else felt chaotic. *I need him,* she thought, craving the comfort of her best friend. She pushed herself off the bed, grabbed her phone, and made her way to Taehyung's room. Her hand hesitated at the door for a moment before she knocked softly on Taehyung's door, she heard his voice from inside. "Come in." He sounded surprised but not annoyed, as if he had been expecting her.

Y/N entered quietly, the soft lighting of the room casting a warm glow over Taehyung as he sat up in bed, his hair tousled from sleep. He looked at her with concern, noticing the redness in her eyes despite her attempt to appear fine.

"Hey... what's up?" Taehyung asked gently, sensing something was off but not wanting to press too hard. He had always known Y/N to be strong, but right now, she looked vulnerable.

"I can't sleep," she whispered, her voice slightly shaky. "Can I... stay with you tonight? I just... I need your cuddles. I need you ."

Taehyung's heart skipped a beat. He had always been protective of Y/N, and seeing her like this tugged at something deeper inside him. His eyes softened as he took in the way she hugged her arms around herself, looking small and fragile. Though he wanted to ask her what was really going on, he knew her well enough to know she wouldn't answer. Not tonight, at least.

Taehyung didn't hesitate. He patted the space next to him on the bed. "Come here," he said softly, opening his arms.

Y/N crawled into bed beside him, instantly feeling the warmth of his presence as she nestled into his chest. She wrapped her arms around him tightly, tighter than usual, as if trying to hold onto some sense of stability in a world that felt like it was crumbling. Taehyung's arms closed around her, his hand gently rubbing her back as he felt the tension in her body slowly begin to ease.

She buried her face into his chest, her breath hitching slightly as she tried to keep her emotions in check. Taehyung could feel it, though—she was hurting, and though he didn't know why, he wanted nothing more than to make her feel better. His own feelings for her, the ones he had kept buried for so long, made his heart ache. He would never push her, but in moments like this, when she turned to him for comfort, he couldn't help but wish things were different between them.

As Y/N clung to him, she found herself calming down, the steady rhythm of his heartbeat soothing her. She didn't say anything about Jimin, and she knew she wouldn't. Taehyung had always been her safe place, and right now, that's all she needed. The comfort of his embrace, the familiarity of his presence, and the quiet assurance that, at least for tonight, she wasn't alone.
