The morning light filtered softly through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the room. Y/N stirred slightly, feeling the comforting warmth of Jimin's body pressed against hers. His arms were wrapped securely around her, holding her close as if he never wanted to let go. The events of the previous night replayed in her mind—Jimin's thoughtful gifts, his tender words, and the passionate way they had reconnected after their time apart. She shifted slightly, careful not to wake him, and felt a rush of emotions—happiness, contentment, but also a lingering sense of uncertainty. Their relationship had always been full of passion, but the secrecy was beginning to weigh on her. The fact that no one at Kojae Media knew about them added a layer of stress to an already complicated situation.
Y/N turned her head slightly to look at Jimin. His face was peaceful in sleep, his usually intense gaze softened, his lips slightly parted. She couldn't help but smile at how serene he looked, so different from the confident, charismatic man everyone else saw. In moments like these, she was reminded of just how deep her feelings for him ran.
But beneath the surface of her contentment, the unresolved tension with Taehyung gnawed at her. She had seen the way he looked at her, the way he tried to talk to her before Jimin kept interrupting. And then there was the misunderstanding with Savannah. Y/N still couldn't shake the image of them together in the parking lot, even though she knew she needed to clear the air with Taehyung.
As she lay there, she felt Jimin stir beside her. His arms tightened around her, pulling her even closer as he mumbled something in his sleep. Y/N gently ran her fingers through his hair, trying to memorize the feeling of being held by him like this, knowing their time was running out before the responsibilities of the day would pull them apart again.
Her thoughts were interrupted by the soft sound of her alarm going off on the bedside table. Y/N sighed softly, feeling Jimin's grip tighten as he groaned in protest, burying his face in the crook of her neck.
"Five more minutes," he mumbled, his voice still heavy with sleep.
Y/N couldn't help but smile, her heart swelling with affection. "We have to get up, Jimin," she whispered, her fingers tracing lazy circles on his back. "we have to get ready for work."
Jimin let out a dramatic sigh before lifting his head slightly to look at her, his eyes half-lidded but full of warmth. "Can't we just stay like this all day?" he asked, his voice playful but tinged with genuine longing.
Y/N pressed a soft kiss to his forehead, her heart aching with how much she wanted that too. "I wish we could," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "But we both have things to do."
Reluctantly, Jimin loosened his hold on her, allowing Y/N to sit up in bed. As she reached for her robe, he watched her with a lazy smile, his eyes tracing the lines of her body, still awestruck by how perfectly they fit together.
"You know," he began, his voice teasing, "last night was incredible. We should make up for lost time more often."
Y/N laughed softly as she tied the robe around her waist, turning to look at him. "We'll have plenty of time for that," she promised, leaning down to give him a quick kiss. "But right now, we need to get ready for work ."
Jimin pouted playfully but sat up, stretching his arms above his head before running a hand through his tousled hair. "Fine, but only because you're the boss," he said, his tone light.
As Y/N moved to the bathroom to start her morning routine, she couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions swirling within her. The connection she had with Jimin was undeniable, but the complications of their secret relationship and her unresolved feelings for Taehyung made her feel like she was walking a tightrope.
