Realizing how inept they are at doing their job. The Royal supreme High Wizard of His most true dominance, found a brutal solution. He began to Conjure up a spell to annihilate that of all that he hates. The incompetent fools running and screaming around who are nothing more than a s stain upon the Blessed Imperium, and that little disturbance running towards one of of the stained glass windows depicting the imagery of one of the four deities worshipped by the masses. He knows that they're real but soon, he will have them all by the throat. Back to the situation at hand.
"let's see, aspiring cadavers running around and that human who has bothered me ever since that cave visit. It's rather unfortunate that I do not have the chance to torment you, boy. But I can't let you live after you've disrespected a powerful being like me." He had an internal monologue, pretending to talk with the human, wanting to give him a warm exit from his mortal shell. He raised both his still good hand and the heavily damaged one too. Palms opened and fingers pointed forward. He hated how he had to revert to spellcasting like other weak magicians with the use of focusing and hand movements. Then he began to hum at a frequency that vibrates his soul and the many other souls that he assimilated, his fingers felt ticklish and then he moved to the next step of spellcasting. Casting the spell itself. "Cristalloooo" He focused as he intensified his humming As he stretched the "O" sound, letting the energy build up. Crystals of shimmering ocean blue began to materialize out of thin air accompanied with the sound of cracking glass. Then the action. "LANCIO! " He sharply said the word spending some of that pent up energy to spike and send the multitudes of crystal lances hurtling towards the stampede. These crystals vary widely in size, from the smallest being as small as nails to some being a meter in length and half a meter in diameter, and to make it worse for them, is that they are all optimized for penetration with having points so sharp that it is measured in a scale that they haven't invented yet.
All of these factors combined with the nightmarish speed that they flew in, ensured that the outcome will be a bloodbath with very little to no survivors. *SHEU! SHEW! SHEU! SHEW! SHOO! SHU! SHEW!* The spikes rapidly sped through the air, the troopers unable to react in time as they were too busy running around. Marble was turned into dust as crystals pulverized the polished stone into powder, men were reduced to shreds, armor was nothing against the onslaught. The whole room was filled with the deafening crash of crystals tearing and crashing through everything. Then it became quiet, there was no more screaming. He felt satisfied with his workmanship even in his reduced state.
The spikes flew and killed almost all of the living beings that were unfortunate enough to be right in front of him. But the one that he was really hoping to die, had survived the onslaught. He should have been reduced to a pink mist, he was literally standing in the center of it all too! The human was flat onto his stomach, but that shouldn't have saved him at all! He stood himself up as he looked around in the carnage and not even a second later he continued to run for the window. The only other survivor, if you could really call him that, is a soldier who caught one of the bigger spikes. His other leg was amputated cleanly below the knee when a spike went through.
He was mewling in pain as he crawled towards the other leg, or what he assumes to be his leg since many others suffered the same fate as he did. A filthy trail of blood was on the gold inlaid marble floor and it slightly irked him for it was disgusting to see this lowly being stain this grand place. He was about to cast another spell, completely sure that this time, it will eviscerate the human.
But something prevented him from moving a single muscle in his body. He could only watch as the damned human scale the wall and shatter the stained glass window with a strike from his elbow.
*CRASH!* The bottom portion of the once magnificent display was shattered and reduced into pieces of red and shade of red. Then he jumped to the other side, watching as the human disappeared below the window sill. This was the second time this outworlder has bested him, and that that fact infuriated him. With so much anger in him, he forced his muscles to move, yet his total displacement after about a second of struggling were microscopic IF he did move at all. That only further served to infuriate him, and with nothing but sheer hatred, he physically forced his muscles to obey him. Slowly, whatever ethereal being that was limiting him was slowly losing their control over his body as he regained control with each passing second in struggle. But then he was suddenly able to move normally after a few minutes had passed. He still might have a chance to intercept the human. He dashed towards the broken window, each step left in the blood stained floor burnt the blood with how fast he was moving. He prepared himself to directly cast a spell into his thighs through his hands. He placed both of his hands onto both of his thighs as he prepared to jump. But the spell's nature was crude and unrefined as he casted it without bothering to concentrate, thus overshooting the threshold and using more than what is needed. So when he jumped, he flew much higher than anticipated. Causing him to somersault into the pristine upper part of the stained glass windows as the shoddily made spell did its thing. Now the magnificent display was completely gone and only shattered fragments gave a clue of what used to be in the empty space. He wasn't even able to properly brace for the impact and now he has glass shards in his mouth. He would've died if he were a normal living being whose body wasn't fortified with multiple spells to the point where even the dragons up North would feel envious. But he wasn't completely immune as the shards began to embed into his skin, making an uncomfortable itchy sensation in his mouth.
