He rushed towards the door, making an undignified exit as his subordinate followed through.

*Bam!* The door was slammed shut by disgruntled and embarrassed Legiones.

The room fell silent.

The once casual mood had been soured by their quick visit. Even as they tried to stay casual and relaxed, the outlier stood tall in his strange and regal clothes, his ways alien to the patrons.

Everyone had their eyes on Luke.

He gave them ammunition for an endless amount of gossip. Soon, he would be quite well known even as he had not introduced himself. Depending on the severity, he could be well known throughout the entire locality at the next moment or perhaps the entire kingdom.

Countless whispers were shot back and forth, filling the air with the sharp sound of hushed tones as some stole glances at him.

"Strange fellow he is."

"Did you see what he did there‽"

"He won't live long."

"What if I were to try doing that?"

"Yeah sure! Go ahead you furbrained bastard! I'm sure the Legiones will love it."

And whenever Luke tried to look any of them in the eyes they turned away immediately, but from what he was able to deduct from those shortly spanned eye contacts was more than enough. They did not look at him with fear, it was more of something like awe and amazement.

They were all surprised to see that he had lived after disobeying those that would kill their kind for less. Moreover, he actively defied them, such an act was once thought to be impossible.

Perhaps, bounties could be placed at his head at the very moment, he knew mercenaries had loyalty to none but the coin. Legiones might be coming back in greater force to put him down. Ah! Such thinking was bringing an incoming headache to him. All the repercussions that could sprout from this moment and how much it could multiply in the future was not something he wanted to think about!

The ram groaned as he sat upright, clutching his skull in pain as he did so.

"Aaah. By the gods they struck me damn hard."

His daughter fell to her knees to hug her injured father, relieved that he was still alive and angry that he pulled such a dangerous stunt.

"Papa! You're still breathing! I'm happy that you still draw breath! But please! Don't do any of that ever again! I don't want to lose you too." She cried loudly as the ram reciprocated the embrace. A small hand squeezed Luke's own. It was the little girl again. Her eyes were bulging and wet as she sniffled. It was probably her first taste of unequal violence and brutality. Luke had a feeling that she wanted to help, crying for the sake of others is something that can only be done by a caring heart.

He began to walk towards the injured and humiliated father with the little girl in tow. The patrons made way for him as they moved, looking at the human with wonder, surprise, and contemplation. Luke extended his hand towards the injured ram. "BROTHER! Why do you help the xeno filth‽" The Loyalist does not find any sort of amusement after he decided to try and offer help to the downed non-human. He felt an urge to return his hand back to his side and continue on to what he was here to do.

"Because it is the right thing to do."

The Nobleman whispers his approval, reminding him of the noble cause that a nobleman should follow. Family goes beyond than any angsty raving. The Nobleman brought forth a warm thought of kindness and virtue; something long forgotten and misused. "My steadfast child, you will be a great warrior someday. And a warrior does fight out of hate, but rather out of love and care for those who are weaker than him." The somber memory between him and his father only hardened the will to help the non-human. Her daughter was busy tending to his wounds to notice Luke standing right in front of her.
