(Author's note: I am so sorry for not being able to update for quite sometime. Many things happened and my grandmother underwent two consecutive surgeries. I am trying my best at writing. This chapter will be bigger than usual as an apology to my readers. Hope that it is accepted. Be warned, suggestive themes are present in this chapter.)
"Just follow my damn orders." High King Luminos whispered into the private vox channel between father and son. "What?" The boy blurted out, reasons unknown on why he can't do as all the other Knights before him did, and as all the other Knights before those Knights did too. Calmly he said. "I ask of you one thing to do as a child of mine." Silence followed by a deep breath from the High King. "Only one thing for your whole useless life." He said it so calmly, but the way that he was speaking is something unknown to Luke. Then the vox screeched. "JUST FOLLOW MY DAMN ORDER!" This was the first time he was treated like this. A new feeling. Luke thought to himself of this new profound sensation: something called pain. He thought to himself. "My father, my loving da, my mentor, my teacher, my everything, my curse, my punisher, my pain, my torturer, chose to lash out at his gentle son with his hateful tongue? Why?" He doesn't know. A sniffle broke the empty silence, it originated from him. He just wanted to fight, wanted to be finally recognized as a fellow Knight Scion by proving his mettle in combat. But his father made his intention well known to his son and he was surely able to figure it out. But he didn't stop there as he wanted to make sure that he was able to understand how he truly felt about Luke. "Damn you. DAMN YOU! YOU USELESS CHILD OF MINE! YOU DO NOT CARRY ANY QUALITIES THAT A KNIGHT SHOULD HAVE! A DISHONORABLE HEIR TO ME! CALLING YOU "MY SON" MADE ME FELT DISGUSTED! ARGH! Nothing more than a stain upon the golden legacy of House Phaeron! Do you honestly think that you deserve to die with the honored Scions of House Phaeron! Absolutely not! And I will much rather burn this House and its legacy to ash than to let you ruin it with your name!" He finished his rant with naught more than a single breath, raspy breathing can be heard through the vox. Perhaps he was raised with so much love to the point where hate is a foreign concept to him. A warrior who does not kill is not worthy of being called one. Little Luke could do anything. His spirit was utterly shattered and he was driven to submission. He wanted to terminate the vox communion between his father's Knight, Shining Guardian. From his recently bonded machine, Benevolante. The ritual of becoming only happened a few weeks ago. But as much as he wants to, he just simply can't. Otherwise he would only disappoint him further. He doesn't want to believe what his father said was true. He wanted to believe that all those years of warm familial love was true and not a lie. He wanted to answer back to his father, saying that he still loved him. He was taught to be kind to the unfortunate. He wanted to comfort his father but the only thing that came out from his quivering lips were nothing more than quiet whimpers. He wanted to cry so badly; no tears came out in the effort of not disappointing him any further. However, he cried silently anyway for it is the natural thing and he is nothing more than a product of nature. Feeble attempts to stop the flow of tears were made by rubbing his eyes with the metal gloved hands. Luke cannot deny what Luminos said, truly he is pathetic. There is no hope that he may be truly deserving to die on the battlefield for his House and The God-emperor. His father was not convinced by the unseen brave face that his son had tried to put on the other side of the connection. Luke tan Phaeron, son of High King Luminos Tan Phaeron, Heir to the Throne of the Knight World of Magdalai. Never once thought for the entirety of his life that his father hated him. Unaware, that is completely opposite. "Go. Run. I don't want to see a failure amongst the esteemed members of House Phaeron and ruin our name for centuries to come. Go, and run away like the fool you are. It would be better for you to die on a battlefield by embarrassing means and be buried in a nameless grave. Go. Run." At this point, Luke would much rather obey than to disobey and be broken down by words. So he ran. Thought commands ushered the machine to move towards the
