The cats turned around to see who it was,
Hurricanepool! Moonpaw thought angrily.
Rubystar, who also recognized the cat growled. "You can't do that!"
"Make me." Hurricanepool snarled, showing sharp teeth.
Rubystar unsheathed her claws. "The Crystal Clearing is a sacred place, with a path outside all territories for cats to pass and share with Starclan, it's against the warrior code to stop us from going back to our camp safely."
Hurricanepool rolled her eyes. "The warrior code, Starclan, it's all just a bunch of nonsense, and the crystal clearing is just a bunch of fox dung. With Bloodstar leader, we wouldn't have to worship those stupid dead cats."
Silverpaw growled. They all knew what the warrior code meant to her.
"That's stupid." Rubystar hissed. "Bloodstar will bring nothing but death to all clans."
Hurricanepool paused, looking amused. "Trust me. That'll only happen if you continue resisting her."
"We aren't resisting her by going to the Crystal Clearing and coming back, so back off and let us pass." Rubystar glared at her.
"Actually," Hurricane mewed tilting her head. "We don't believe in Starclan, but you do, and that's enough for Bloodstar to let me stop you." She licked her lips. "Or kill you."
Moonpaw unsheathed her claws, ready for a fight.
"Then so be it. But I'm not backing off without a fight,"
Rubystar hissed and leaped on Hurricanepool's back, claws outstretched.
The cats behind Hurricanepool burst into action, unsheathing their claws and showing their teeth. But then again, so did the Gemclan apprentices. Obsidianclaw though, was nowhere to be seen.
Moonpaw didn't have enough time to even wonder where he was before Bloodclan and Stormclan's warriors had jumped at them snarling and spitting.
Moonpaw caught sight of Hailpaw, an apprentice that Silverpaw had introduced her to at her first gathering. Except this time Hailpaw didn't look so innocent, actually she looked like she was about to stab everyone in their eyeballs and kill them in a long painful death.
Moonpaw jumped on her, biting down hard on her snow colored coat.
Hailpaw let out a yowl of pain and rolled on the ground, throwing Moonpaw off her.
Hailpaw jumped up to her feet, regaining her balance, and growled when she caught sight of Moonpaw.
Moonpaw could hardly blink when she was being thrown off her feet and face first into the ground. She staggered to her feet.
For a second she stood there, gasping for breath.
Although this time when Hailpaw attacked, she was ready.
As Hailpaw launched herself at Moonpaw claws outstretched, Moonpaw stepped aside, and Hailpaw went flying into the thorn bushes. Moonpaw chuckled.
Figuring that their fight was over, she ran back to where the others were, trying to help wherever she could.
Moonpaw barreled into Soulflower, who had Coralpaw pinned down.
"Thanks." Coralpaw mewed, breathless, shaking the leaves and dirt of her fur.
Moonpaw grinned at her and headed to see if anyone else needed her help.
They were outnumbered. Even a blind cat could tell that they were losing.
