CHAPTER 14 🔥

There was a stony silence.

Beside her, Tigerpaw looked down at his paws, refusing to meet his mother's eyes.

Growling, Bloodstar turned to Rubystar, her face twisted into a snarl. "How did this happen!? Why is he with you?" Bloostar lashed her tail.

Rubystar cleared her throat, glaring at the Deathclan leader.

"Tigerpaw wanted to join our clan, so I let him." She answered calmly. "Surely, you can't deny that,"

"TIGERPAW!? You gave him one of your filthy names!?" Bloodstar hissed.

Rubystar lifted her head calmly. "I did."

"Murderpaw, say something!" Bloodstar whipped her head back around, glaring at the Gemclan cats.

Tigerpaw continued to look down. Moonpaw let her tail rest on his, comforting him.

He then lifted his head. "My name's not Murderpaw, it's Tigerpaw. I'm in Gemclan now, I'm loyal to them, and there's nothing that you can do about it."

"How could you be SUCH a DISGRACE?! We sent THREE patrols to look for you! And you were with stupid GEMCLAN, while WE spent our time worrying about you!" Bloodstar shrieked, before turning to Rubystar. "You piece of-"

"Bloodstar, this is a gathering." Seastar interjected, stepping between Rubystar and Bloodstar.

"Tigerpaw joined Gemclan willingly, and some of us want to share the news about their clan, perhaps you could talk about this some other time?"

Bloodstar paused for a second, then sat down, lashing her tail, and nodding. "Very well," she mewed, the fur on her shoulders flattening on her back.

Rubystar nodded. "These past moons we have had an apprentice become a warrior, I'm pleased to announce that Carnelianpaw is now Carnelianclaw!"

There were cheers and mews of approval, mostly from Oceanclan and Gemclan, Moonpaw had noticed. "We have had an amazing hunting and gem collecting green leaf and we are battle ready for any threat that comes into our territory," Rubystars eyes showed no emotion as she stared down at the cats below her.

She nodded at Hurricanepool and she stepped up to address the cats below.

. "I'm sorry to say that Tornadostar has fallen ill. I will be sharing our news until he has recovered." Hurricanepool started. She shared news about some newborn kits, Bloodstar narrowed her eyes and Hurricanepool added, "We have also joined forces with Deathclan and Bloodstar. Oceanclan and Gemclan, I insist you do too," Gasps of surprise and fury came from the two clans.

"What? How is that possible?" Moonpaw heard an Oceanclan apprentice meow but he was quickly hushed by an elder. Moonpaw silently agreed with the Oceanclan apprentice.

Seastar's fur brickled up. "Why would we do that? We're happy living as four clans, there is no need to change that"

"Well, you see, leaf-bare is almost here, and we just want everyone to be safe," Bloodstar reassured.

"Liar!" Tigerpaw hissed angrily. Moonpaw sat frozen, anxious to hear what Seastar would answer with.

Seastar tilted her head. "So... you're saying we share our territory? That's all? Not anything else"

Bloodstar lashed her tail. "Yes, but there IS something else, you can only agree under one condition, you will all have to fall under my lead, I will be leader of all of you, you will lose your leader name"

Seastar's eyes narrowed. "If its under that condition, then I refuse,"

Bloodstar's eyes turned to slits and looked at Rubystar, "And you, Gemclan?" she asked coldly, glaring at Gemclan's leader, Hurricanepool had also turned to Rubystar.
