"Goldheart? W-what are you doing?" Moonpaw stammered as she limped from the bushes.
"Moonpaw! what are you doing here!?" Goldheart gasped.
"A-are you.." Moonpaw trailed off.
"Moonpaw please don't say anything." Goldheart begged.
"I-I.. I can't do that.." Moonpaw was stammering again.
Rainstorm narrowed her eyes and then in a flash, she leaped on Moonpaw, pinning her down.
"Goldheart, I don't see the point in keeping her alive, she knows about us." Rainstorm mewed, and started to put pressure on Moonpaw's throat.
Moonpaw tried to free herself, but Rainstorm just put more pressure, and Moonpaw gasped for air.
"No Rainstorm, you can't!" Goldheart took a step forward, as if to help Moonpaw, but stopped himself.
Rainstorm looked at him, and her gaze softened.
"Look Weasel, this is how it's gonna go." Rainstorm mewed, addressing Moonpaw. "You keep our secret and you live." She unsheathed her claws. "You don't, then you die."
Moonpaw tried to growl but it turned into more of a cough.
"Deal." She croaked.
Rainstorm backed away, leaving Moonpaw gasping for air.
"Remember. You tell no one." Rainstorm reminded her, showing fangs.
Moonpaw nodded.
Goldheart gave her a hard look. "And no. Not even Coralpaw or Silverpaw."
Moonpaw sighed, then nodded.
"Now go." Rainstorm hissed.
Moonpaw limped towards the stream, seeking fresh water for her throat.
She leaned over the stream and licked up refreshing mountain water.
And then she headed back to camp.
As she arrived, she passed the sleeping Zirconheart again.
While sleeping, that warrior couldn't detect a badger. Moonpaw commented silently.
She curled up in her nest and waited to sleep.
-
When Moonpaw woke up she was in a place with glittery mist and stars everywhere in the sky.
"Hello young Moonpaw."
Startled, Moonpaw whipped her head towards the cat speaking.
The cat was a grey striped tabby she-cat with orange eyes.
"Who are you?" Moonpaw asked. 'And why am I in starclan?' might be her next question. Unless...
"I'm Geodeflower, one of Gemclan's past medicine cats." Geodeflower mewed. "And no you're not dead."
Moonpaw let out a relieved laugh. "So why am I here?"
Geodeflower took a deep breath. "Something bad is going to happen." she paused, looking Moonpaw in the eyes. "You need to be prepared for anything."
"What? What do you mean!?" Moonpaw jumped up.
"Don't tell anyone about this." Geodeflower mewed, ignoring Moonpaws question.
"What's going to happen!? Tell me!" Moonpaw begged her, but woke up in the apprentices' den.
Why were there so many secrets!? Secret this, secret that why can't anyone be truthful!? ARGHHHHH.
