Chapter 19

"Yay!" Grim cheered as he leaped out of Deuce's arms, running to embrace (Y/n) in a hug. "Then, can we have a feast when we get back to the dorm?!"

"Sure," answered (Y/n) as the pet his head. Glancing up at the boys, who were standing at the edge of the crater, and asked the important question. "Did you get the magestone?"

The boys glanced at each other before grinning at (Y/n). Reaching into his jacket, Ace pulled out a colourful stone with shades of blue, green, and red. Even from where they were, in the middle of the large crater, (Y/n) could practically taste the magic from the magestone.

"Pretty cool, right?" Ace said as he put the stone back into his jacket. (Y/n) nodded slightly as Grim made himself comfortable on their shoulder.

"Okay. Let's go, before you two are expelled," they said while pulling themself and Grim from the crater.

"Oh crap!" Deuce cursed. "I totally forgot! Come on, we've gotta get to the headmage."

"There's no way we're going to get there in time! How are we supposed to do that?!" Ace argued.

"Well..." The demon trailed off, unsure the boys would agree with their idea.

"(Y/n), do you have a way to get there quick?!" Deuce pleaded, when he was rewarded by a nod from them he said, "Do it, please! I don't care what it is, but I can't get expelled!"

The demon looked at both human boys, grabbed one and threw him on to their shoulder. (Y/n) then pulled the other boy underneath the opposite arm before beginning to sprint. They were moving so fast that Grim flew off their shoulder, luckily Ace caught ahold of him before they were too far.

"Myaaah!"

"Gotcha!"

Pulling the kit into his arms, Ace made sure there wasn't any way for him to slip again.

"Pardon?! You're telling me you actually went to the Dwarf's Mine in search of a magestone?" Crowley said in disbelief.

"Uh...? Yes?" (Y/n) answered. They had made it back to the Mirror Chamber just it time to meet Crowley.

"I didn't expect that you'd seriously do it. And never in my wildest imagination did I think you would actually return with a magestone!" The bird man continued, "And here I spent all evening preparing your expulsion documents."

(Y/n) stared at the man with exasperation and began to seriously contemplate the pros and cons of eating him.

'If I do eat him...he won't be an annoyance to everyone... But then I'd have to go through the trouble of having to find a way home by myself..and the school will be shutdown....I think..' The Avatar of Gluttony thought. 'And I won't get anymore treats or free meals from him.....I better not eat him......yet.'

(Y/n) was brought back from their thoughts by Ace's word.

"-s a monster, all right. A big, nasty one. It nearly killed us! I mean, look at the stuff on (Y/n)'s face!"

(Y/n) almost forgot they were covered in ink.

"Would you kindly relate this story in full?" Crowley asked with solemnity lacing his voice before leading the group to his office.
