Scarlett is on her way back to Knoxville to stay for a bit when she walks into a gas station she hadn't been in since high school. She grabs a sweet tea and a pack of pork rinds. "Scarlett Hanson, what're you doin back in Knoxville?" A familiar voice asks.
"David? How're ya? I don't remember the last time I saw you!" She excitedly asks. She can't help but glance at his new muscular figure.
"I'm doin Great! How's Nashville workin for ya?" He asks. "It's been a lot but I'm happy" she replies.
"I heard you've been workin on some huge tours up there" he says scanning her things."I have, I did Tim McGraw, Morgan wallen..." she rushed by that knowing he knew what Morgan once did.
"Morgan? He's an artist?" He asks. Here we go...
"Yep, anyways I did hard-"
"Didn't he abandon you? That dude was a jerk" he says Scarlett riddles with her rings. "Yeah it's the past" she says grabbing her bag and attempting to end the conversation.
"Huh, what about Micheal I heard he's an artist"
"He's good, just went on his first tour"
"Oh really? Good for him"
"I better get going, it was good seeing you"
"Wanna come over for supper?" He offers, her palms sweat.
"Uh, yeah sure, just text me the address" she mutters walking out the door.
She worried, she didn't want to have supper with him, alone, in his house.
She pulls up to his house, it was beautiful, he had a beautiful view of the lake behind his two story farmhouse with a porch swing.
His Labrador, Lucy ran out the door and jumped on her as she got out of her bronco.
"Lucy! No! Down!" He shouts running out and pulling her off of Scarlett. "I'm so sorry, she's got a lot of energy" he apologizes.
"Your good, Boot does that all the time" she assures. "Boots? You've got a dog?" He asks.
"It's not mine, it's Morgan's" she slips."Morgan's?" He questions. She avoids the question as they walk in.
She starts eating and the awkward silence is loud.
"So, what was tour like?" He asks attempting to break the silence that filled the room.
"Fun, scary, tiring, basically everything" she replies awkwardly taking a bite of the casserole that he'd cooked.
"Must've been hard planning something that big"
"Mmhm" after finishing supper he started to wash the dishes. "You should stay and watch a movie or somethin" he offers.
"I have to get going David I-"
"Stay" he demands grabbing her forearm.
"I uhm-" she stutters attempting to escape his grasp.
"I said stay" he demands once again tightening his grip.
"Let me go!" She screams.
He pulls her towards him and holds her arms. "You psycho! Let me go" she screamed finally escaping him.
She ran to the door but was tripped by a chair. He grabs her ankles pulling her towards the kitchen and her fingernails dig into the hardwood floor.
"Please! Let me go!" She screams kicking at him as he lays on top of her."I will don't worry baby" he smirks evil in his smile as he rubbed his finger down her arm.
She shivered from the chills, the hair on her neck stood up.
