It's been three weeks since Scarlett and Morgan broke up and Scarlett is doing better. Morgan hasn't recovered at all.

Scarlett is sitting in her office and Morgan knocks on the door. "Come in!" She enthusiastically shouts.
He walks in Beer can in hand and sits on the other side of her desk.

"I just need your opinion on something" He mumbles. She grabs the can and throws it in the trash.
"Dude! I was drinking that!" He shouts. "That's the problem, No drinking in my office" She replies.

"Oh, anyways, just look at these lyrics and tell me if there any good" he says as he starts to strum.
Scarlett listens.

"Girl since you left me, been trying to forget we, ever became what we were, I poured some whiskey on places you kissed me, tried to wash off all the hurt, ain't nothin workin I've lived out the words in a thousand old sad country songs, but whenever I try to move on, it's like tryna put a bandaid on a bullet hole, tryna tell a cowboy to slow down, it's like watchin the way that the river rolls, and then tellin it to turn back around, I've held some strangers told people I hate ya but I just keep hittin the wall, it's like tryna put a bandaid on a bullet hole, it just don't do me no good at all"

As he continues singing Her heart breaks. These lyrics hit her like a punch to the gut.

Her leg shook in the all the sudden nervousness that came upon her. She fiddles with her fingers as he continued.
She couldn't stand the fact that Morgan was drinking himself to death and she was the reason.

She truly felt sorry for him. "Damn Morgan, that one hurt" She mentions grabbing a tissue from her desk and wiping the stray tear that was falling from her cheek.

"Sorry" he mutters. "It's fine, I think it's good Morgan" she says. "Thank you, I'll pitch it to Micheal later" He says walking out. "Wait!" She shouts.

"Yeah?" He asks. "I'm uhm- I-" she stutters. "Spit it out" he teases. "I'm worried about you..." she admits.
"Why? I'm doin fine" he denies. "No your not, don't lie to me" She replies.

"You want the truth? Okay then, I'm a dumbass who screwed up his relationship with the love of his life and every day he looks at himself in the mirror and regrets he's alive, then I go to the bar drink my weight in whiskey and feel like shit hoping it'll numb the pain, I stare at the ceiling every night wishing you were there and it hurts worse, everywhere I go I see you, everything I do I remember you, and I've given up" he spills out.

Scarlett's heart broke after every word he said. "I'm sorry" she cries. "Scarlett, I've told you it's not your fault, move on, you don't need me" He pleads.

"But I do though..." she replies. "Listen Scarlett, I can't keep ruining your life like this, you don't deserve being hurt because of my short temper and stupid decisions, you deserve someone who you can settle down with someone who isn't running from stage to stage every weekend" He explains.

"That's what I live for, running from stage to stage every weekend is my dream, it's what I do, and we can fix your stupid decisions and short temper" She pleads.

"We can't fix the fact I got drunk and cheated on you, we can't just let that go can we?" He argues. "Short temper" she scolds. He corrects himself.

"You were drunk, atleast you didn't hook up with them" she says. "Do you hear yourself Scarlett? Your gonna get back with someone who cheated on you? Are you crazy?" He asks.

"A little, guess that's why we always end up together" she replies. "Scarlett, I'm not good for you you can't just-"
"Yes I can, and I will" she demands.

"You are crazy" he says walking out the door. She runs after him and turns him around. "What're yo-"
He's cut off by a deep kiss.

"Why would you- I- what-" he stutters. "Stop stuttering, you've got one more chance" she says. He's hesitant.
"I what?" He asks. "You, Morgan Cole Wallen, have one more chance, make it count" She says, his face filled with shock.

"Scarlett are you sure? This is so sudden I-" he stutters. "Yes, I'm sure, I'm giving you my heart, don't break it" She says walking to her office.

He stands in shock watching her walk away.

"You got back together with him!?" Micheal shouts in shock sitting on Scarlett's apartment couch.
"Don't yell at me!" Scarlett shouts.

"He cheated on you Scarlett! Are you crazy?" He asks. She shrugs. "He asked me the same question" she replies.
"After all the hurt? Your just gonna let him try a again?" He asks.

"Of course, I'm a forgiving person" Scarlett adds. "You are absolutely out of your mind Scarlett" he says.
"Whatever Micheal, I'm gonna fix him" She says, Micheal scoffs.

"How long have I tried to fix him? Let's see 1, 2, 3, 7 years! And he's never listened what makes you think he's gonna listen to you?" He asks.

"He loves me Micheal!" She shouts. "Don't yell at me!" He shouts back. "Why are we even fighting!?" She shouts.
"I don't know!"

They go silent and Scarlett sighs heavily. "Don't come crying when he breaks your heart again Scarlett" he scoffs and walks out.

She doesn't let Micheal get to her. She was determined to work with Morgan.

Meanwhile Morgan was at his house cleaning up all the stray beer cans and trash that accompanied the floors.
He managed to change his sheets and mop all his floors, also clean the hangover explosion of a bathroom.

His newfound hope made him energized and happy, something he hadn't felt in weeks. He also managed to cook himself a hot meal.

He sits down at his dining table and calling boots name. "Boots! Cmon girl it's time to eat!" He shouts placing her food bowl on the floor next to him.

Boots licks his face and excitedly wags her tail. "Silly girl, eat up" he says.

Life was looking up again.

Hope wasn't lost anymore.
