𝔼𝕤𝕥𝕣𝕖𝕝𝕝𝕒 𝕄𝕒𝕣𝕥𝕚𝕟𝕖𝕫 𝕙𝕒𝕕 𝕟𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕣 𝕓𝕖𝕖𝕟 𝕖𝕩𝕥𝕣𝕒𝕠𝕣𝕕𝕚𝕟𝕒𝕣𝕪, 𝕙𝕖𝕝𝕝, 𝕤𝕙𝕖'𝕕 𝕟𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕣 𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕟 𝕓𝕖𝕖𝕟 𝕚𝕟𝕥𝕖𝕣𝕖𝕤𝕥𝕚𝕟𝕘. If she was in a movie, she'd be the main characters best friend/ comedic relief. The girl who, at 20, worked a gas station in the middle of New York, well, the bad parts that movies won't film in.
That's a lie, have you seen Euphoria? She's, as Gen Z would put it, a baddie.
She'd grown up on the bad side of town, where break ins, theft and petty crime were comitted. Always a nice girl who minded her business, she learned quickly that those who stuck their nose in anothers business were bound to become a target.
Her findings kept her out of sight, and mind. For the most part.
The Gulp N' Go was a privately owned gas station, next to a pizza place on a dimly lit street. Opened in 1973, the dated architecture and vintage arcade games made Estrella feel nostalgic for a time she'd never even seen, pair that with her employee benefits, like free soda, and she was perfectly content.
There were downsides, however, as working in a gas station meant robberies were always a possibility. Though, in the past year that she'd been working, she had yet to have a bad work day. Did she get flirted with regularly? Yes. Were some of her customers creeps? Sure. Had they ever given her problems? Not yet.
Key word: Not yet. This is fanfiction, children. Problems drive the plot.
Her mundane, but happy life, would soon become complicated, thanks to a man in red spandex, and his tall, older, grumpy-yet-still-hot friend/ co-worker.
