Dr. Travis Kelce was known throughout the city as the best surgeon Crestview Hospital had ever seen. His daily routine was predictable: perform surgery, handle the aftermath, and when the hospital was quiet, seek out fleeting pleasures. His life revolved around the operating room and the women he entertained when he wasn't working—no relationships, no commitments. His focus was on his career and his hedonistic escapes.
On this particular Monday morning, Travis was in his element, breezing through a successful surgery and preparing for his next patient. His concentration was shattered, however, when Kayla Reynolds, the new intern, burst into his office two minutes late.
"Good morning, Dr. Kelce," she said breathlessly, trying to catch her breath.
Travis looked up from his paperwork, his eyes narrowing. "You're late," he said sharply. "We start on time here. If you can't handle punctuality, you shouldn't be in this profession."
Kayla's cheeks flushed. "I'm sorry, I—"
"Sorry doesn't cut it. This isn't a game. You need to be on time every day. If you can't manage that, maybe you should reconsider this career," Travis said, his tone harsh and uncompromising.
Kayla was momentarily taken aback by his intensity, but she was also mesmerized. There was something undeniably attractive about the way he commanded respect, even when he was angry. She bit her lip, trying to suppress a smile.
"Yes, Dr. Kelce," she said, her voice softening. "I'll do better."
Travis dismissed her with a nod, and Kayla left the office with a mix of irritation and fascination. She couldn't shake the feeling that there was something magnetic about him, and it didn't help that his reprimand had only made her more interested.
Later that evening, as the workday ended, Kayla's friends and fellow interns decided to hit a bar to celebrate their first day. Kayla, having heard from her friends that Travis frequented the same bar, insisted they go there.
Inside the dimly lit bar, the music pulsed with a rhythmic beat. Kayla spotted Travis at the bar, surrounded by a small group. With her friends encouraging her, she approached him, a confident stride and a seductive sway of her hips marking her entrance.
"Dr. Kelce," Kayla said, her voice a smooth purr as she drew close. "What a surprise to see you here."
Travis looked up, his gaze locking onto her with recognition. "You're that new intern from earlier. What brings you here?"
Kayla's response was a sultry smile. "Just unwinding after the first day. And I thought I might find you here."
Before Travis could respond, Kayla leaned in and kissed him.
Travis, initially taken aback, found himself intrigued despite his better judgment. He pulled back slightly, his gaze assessing her.
"What was that for?" he asked, his voice a mix of amusement and curiosity.
Kayla smiled, her eyes sparkling with a mix of challenge and seduction. "Just thought I'd make the evening a bit more interesting."
She began to dance close to him, her movements fluid and sensual. She placed her hands on his chest, letting her fingers linger as she swayed. Her touch was light but purposeful, her gaze never leaving his face. Travis could feel the heat of her body and the allure in her eyes, though his own interest remained cautious.
Kayla continued her seductive dance, her lips brushing his ear as she whispered, "I know you're not looking for anything serious, but I thought we could have some fun."
Travis's detachment was evident, but he couldn't entirely ignore her persistence. "I'm not sure what you're after," he said, his tone reserved.
Kayla's lips curled into a seductive smile. "Just a chance to get to know you better. I heard you like to mix business with pleasure."Travis's breath hitched slightly. "Only when the opportunity presents itself."
As the night wore on, the bar's crowd thinned, creating a more intimate setting. Kayla's advances grew bolder. She pressed closer, her body brushing against his in a way that was both inviting and provocative. Her hands roamed over his shoulders, her touch light and teasing.
"Why don't we continue this somewhere more private?" she suggested, her voice a soft purr.
Travis regarded her with a mixture of curiosity and indifference. "If you're looking for something specific, you should be upfront about it."
Kayla's smile widened. "I'm looking for a night of fun, nothing more. I know where to find what I want."
In Travis's apartment, the atmosphere was charged with desire. He led Kayla into his bedroom, their kisses growing more urgent. Clothes were shed with a practiced ease, their bodies entangled as they succumbed to the heat of the moment.
Kayla, in turn, was fully immersed in the experience, her initial intentions of seduction now mingling with genuine pleasure. She moaned softly, her hands exploring his body, savoring each moment as they lost themselves in each other.
Afterwards, as they lay together in the dim light, Travis's attention shifted back to his usual detachment. He reached for his phone, his tone casual as he spoke. "That was... something. But I'm not looking for anything serious."
Kayla, masking her disappointment with a composed smile, gathered her clothes. "I understand. Just a night of fun."
As she prepared to leave, Travis remained in his usual relaxed state, unaffected by the emotional undertones of their encounter. Kayla, however, was far from finished. She had intended to make a lasting impression, and her determination to claim more from this interaction was clear.
As she stepped out into the night, her mind was already racing with plans. Kayla was determined to ensure that this encounter was not a mere one-night stand. She would use her position at Crestview and her newfound insight into Travis's preferences to her advantage.
