Chapter 16

Liv watched Alex closely, still shocked by his question. When are you moving in with me? Could she really agree? They had only known eachother a short time, but she knew she loved him. When he took her hand she snapped out of her mind to the here and now. " Alex you really want me to move in? We've known eachother so short a time."

Alex took her hand and said " What does time matter? You've had my heart from the begining. I've waited so long to find the one woman I want for the rest of my life. That woman is you Liv. I want to wake up next to you every morning and hold you as we go to sleep each night. I want you to rub your feet as you carry our child. I want it all Liv, I love you so very much more than I can discribe. What do you say Liv? Will you take this step with me? Hell if I thought you would say yes and your father wouldn't kill me I'd be asking a whole different question right now."

Liv gasped as he spoke, tears filled her eyes and she said " I love you Alex, I want all those things. I don't care about what my father would say. He would clearly see how I feel about you. You won my heart Alex, before you even knew you were trying. Yes! I'll will move in, as for that other question.. you have to ask to find out!"

Alex picked her up laughing and swung her around. He was so very happy. In a short period of time he would be asking that question. He had already discribed what he wanted to a jewelry designer friend of his. Her ring would be ready to pick up in a few days while they were back in his hometown. Now he just had to get through dinner with her Dad & this stuff with Aunt Marie.

Late that night the 4 of them boarded the private jet that would bring them to his Aunt Marie. All of them were nervous for differnet reasons. Liv was about to meet the only mother Alex had ever known. Georgia & Mitch were about to meet their Aunt for the first time. Alex was scared, scared something bad was happening. He was terrified he would lose his Aunt Marie.

Live saw him gripping the edge of his armrest and moved over beside him. " It will be ok Alex. Your Aunt is a fighter and we will fight right by her side together. All of us." He leaned over and kissed her softly, saying " I know Liv, i'm just worried. She will love you , you know? Maybe as much as I do."

Liv grinned at him, he was worried but trying to reassure her. She gently stroked her hand down his face. She whispered " I love you Alexander. We will find out what is going on, then we will both convice her to come home with us. If she's sick as you fear I will take leave and help out where I can.. We've already discussed that i'm ready to leave the firm and move on to new adventures. All that matters is we're together."

Alex couldn't speak with a lump in his throat, so he kissed her and poured everything into his kiss. This woman would be an amazing mother and he intended to have a talk with her after he asked her to marry him. He wanted kids and he wanted to get started right away.

After they landed, Alex led them towards the car he had arranged to meet them. The driver took them straight to Alex's home. Liv looked at the beautiful old home not far from the heart of New Orleans. Alex caught her soft sigh and grinned, " You like it Baby?" She grinned and said " It's beautiful here Alex!" He chuckled and said " Well I guess that answers my question." Liv looked at him funny and said " What question?" He grinned and said " If we should sell this one when we move to the ranch." He kissed her at the confused look that came over her face, laughing softly he said " I think we should keep it as another vacation home. What do you think?"

Liv couldn't believe he wanted her to make the choice again! This was his home after all, it was his choice. She shook her head and looked towards Georgia. Georgia grinned at her and shook her head yes! Mouthing girls weekends to her. Liv started laughing and said " Whatever you want to do Alex. I don't care about the houses as long as we're together!"

Alerx opened the door and gave them all a tour of the three story home. After the tour he showed Mitch and Georgia to guest room and placed his & Liv's bags in his room. They all decided to call it an early night so they could be up bright and early to corner Aunt Marie.
