She was smiling when she came down the stairs. She had sent off a text to Mitch and Georgia letting them know she was fine and was laughing at the responses.

Georgia : So what happened? Did you sleep with him?

Mitch: Glad you’re ok Kid, Now tell me about this guy. Georgie says you like him??

As she walked into the kitchen Alexander looked up and saw that she was grinning. He said “What’s so funny?”

“ Georgia, Mitch, and my dad! I had 5 missed calls! 3 from Dad, which equaled to if he didn’t hear from me by noon, he was sending the cops after you! No worries though I called and explained why I didn’t call him. One each from the other two, so I sent them texts and let them know I was ok. It was their responses that were funny.”

   “So what were they?”

“I’m not telling you Georgia’s cause it’s just out there! But Mitch was asking about you.”

“Now I want to hear what Georgia said.”

“Nope! Not happening! Now what’s for breakfast?”

“Vegetable Omelets. After breakfast though I have some work to do, got a message from my editor, wanting an idea of what my next book will be about. You would think he would be satisfied as my newest is set to release next week.”

“ I’m sure I can find something to entertain me while you work.”

She didn’t seem to disappointed, which was a good thing because he wrote a lot. He pulled her closer and kissed her softly before leading her to the table.

“ It’s a good thing because you need to see how I work. I become kinda oblivious to things and people around me.”

“ I’m a big girl, if I really want your attention I’m sure I can distract you. Now what is there to do around this place?”

“ Well since we can’t go outdoors yet, there movies and video games and of course books. I have my computer and then if you want to do something online there’s an extra laptop up in my bedroom. I’ll try to quit working by lunch but I can’t guarantee it.”

She smiled at how nervous he seemed, if she had to guess she would say a girl in his past had complained and left because of how much he worked. She reached across the table and placed her hand over his.

“Stop worrying Alex. I know what it’s like to work a lot, I’m a lawyer. I can entertain my self while you work.”

Alexander was deep into his second chapter when Olivia walked into the living room. He’d been working for a little over three hours and she had peeked in a few times, smiling at  how focused he was on what he was doing. I wonder if he’s that focused about everything?

She had found copies of all of his books in his library and had started reading it, she had to admit he was a wonderful writer and his stories just sucked you into the plot. After letting Rebel out to potty, she grabbed two bottles of water, and walked to where Alex sat at the desk. She grinned as she set down one of the bottles, he didn’t even notice. She leaned down and kissed his neck softly, whispering “ Thought you might be thirsty.”

“ Thank you Baby. I’ll be done here shortly.”

“It’s ok I was just letting the dog out, I found one of your book upstairs and have been reading it.”

He turned to look at her and smiled. “ So are you liking it?”

“Yeah it’s pretty good so far. You’re a great writer.”

He looked down and she noticed that he was blushing. He grabbed her around the waist and pulled her into his lap, she squealed and he started laughing. It feels good to be interrupted by Olivia, it feels right. Shaking his head he kissed her deeply until she settled down into his lap. Raising his head he grinned down into her dazed face.

     “You know what Baby?”

     “ What Alex?”

“ I think I like being interrupted by you. Shocking really no one has ever been able to interrupt me with the exception of Aunt Marie.”

“ Is it a good thing I can interrupt you?”

“ A very good thing Baby. Otherwise I forget to stop and sleep or eat for days. Aunt Marie usually makes the drive over a few times a week when she knows I’m writing.”

“ Well then I’m glad I can. Now why don’t I let you get back to work? I’ll go on up and read some more of that book. When it comes time for lunch I’ll make something, then interrupt you again.”

“ Why don’t you come down here and read?”

“I don’t want to distract you Alex.”

“ A little distraction is good.”

“ Maybe in a little while. I think I’ll go up and call Georgia first.”

He leaned down to kiss her again and whispered “ MMM… I could spend and day and night, just holding and kissing you .”

She giggled and said “ You may get that chance later, but right now you get back to work.”

He was laughing as she ran up the stairs. A woman that told him to get back to work? Oh yeah she was a keeper. I better e-mail that realtor before I forget. Smiling, he shot of an e-mail letting the realtor know he wanted to look at that property next week.
