Xander wondered what he was going to do stuck in the cabin, with a strange woman, and a dog? He hadn’t been alone with a woman other than his family in years. While he was driving he started thinking back to the last time. Marisa , about 5 years ago, after he ended things with her there hadn’t been anyone. Not even a date, he really needed to think about something other than his stories. Laughing to himself , he shook his head, his buddies had been telling him the same thing for years.
He looked at the dash and realized he’d make it earlier than planned, he’d been speeding , again. He pulled into the parking lot of the grocery store, he knew he would need to get supplies. Heading into the store, he wondered just what Ms. Olivia Jenkins was like. It took almost an hour before he had picked up enough supplies for 2 weeks, he even picked up a big rawhide bone, for her dog. Just as he was checking out, he saw a beautiful lady come through the doors.
She had long silky blue-black hair, she wasn’t one of those skinny, starve yourself types, she had real curves. When she turned where he could see her face, she had the deepest blue eyes he’d seen. She was short, around 5’2 or 5’3. To Xander she was the most beautiful woman he had seen in a long time.
“Sir are you ready to check out?”
The question snapped Xander out of his thoughts, he ginned at the young cashier, then started placing his items on the belt. As the cashier finished he noticed the woman was in line behind him. She only had a few items. He wondered just what she drove, he bet it was one of those little smart cars, something as tiny as she was. Shaking his head, he paid his groceries and thought. She would make a great character in my next book. I bet I can describe her just the right way, that the readers will be able to picture her.
As he started loading things into his truck, he felt someone’s eyes on him. Turning around he noticed a big black and white Great Dane staring at him from the next truck. Laughing to himself, he spoke up “Hey there Buddy, Did you see something that looked good in those bags?”
The dog cocked his head to the side and barked. Xander laughed and turned back around to finish loading the truck. As he did he noticed the lady, walking in his direction. He looked around and didn’t see the little car he would put her in, and shook his head. He shut the door just as she pulled up to the truck next to his, he watched as she loaded the giant bag of dog food and a few other bags in the back.
She noticed him watching her and smiled over at him. He smiled back as she climbed inside her truck and started petting her dog.
Livie noticed a guy watching her , she smiled at him and climbed into her truck. She was loving on Rebel as she watched him. He was very handsome with kind of a rugged look. He was tall probably around 6’2 or 6’3, dark brownish hair and green eyes, almost the color of pine. He smiled at her and he had a killer smile. She had no clue why he would be watching her. Shaking off her thoughts she picked up her phone and dialed Mr.Green’s number.
“ Hello?”
“Mr. Green, this is Olivia Jenkins. You asked that I called when I got close to your area, I’m currently in the parking lot of a grocery store in Whitney.”
Xander looked up and saw the beautiful woman on the phone. He laughed and said “Ms. Jenkins do you have a Great Dane?”
Livie looked up and around and said “ Yes I do?”
“ Relax I’m not stalking you Ms. Jenkins. I’m parked right next to you.”
He watched as she relaxed a bit and waved at him. He laughed and waved back to her, then said “ Just follow me, we can meet officially at the cabin. We’re still about 20 minutes out.”
“Alright, lead the way.”
