With July 4th swiftly approaching, Trinity had pretty much gotten her home into a stable condition as Troy's grandparents, along with Edwin from time to time, would be responsible for the upkeep while she went away to New York; Never in her life did she think she'd have the courage to leave the nest,
Dave always mentioned stepping out on faith, he plays a big role in her decision making and belief system— for that she felt indebted to him,
Troy had been in the process of suing the police department for violating his rights which involved, excessive force, harassment, and discrimination, and although it was bound to take a turn for the worst due to the policemen not having their body cams on during the assault; Troy's dash cam footage from his truck told a different story and pretty soon, he'd be extremely wealthy under unfortunate circumstances,
No one knew what his plans were still, even after he was to be compensated; All Trinity knew though, was that his grandparents would be the first people in line to be well taken care of, he loved them dearly,
"Whats on your mind? You been sitting in one spot, with that same look on your face," said Dave as he snapped Trinity out of her thoughts
She shrugged her shoulders up then down, "I guess I'm just kind of preparing myself for this new journey, I'm nervous— excited, wanting to throw up, wanting to twerk it's crazy..."
"I'm right here with you," he replied calmly and began breaking down his weed, in order to roll up his blunt "And gonna always be here,"
"Ugh David don't start doing that," she groaned and buried her face into a pillow "I love it,"
"So why you be complaining when I talk to you nice? What's this some kind of reversal role playing shit you into?" he chuckled "Don't act like that ma— I love your dorky ass,"
"I'm not a dork, but I love you too..." she mumbled and playfully rolled her eyes at him "... what are some do's and don'ts for you in a relationship?"
"Wow, she asks this after I done cracked her in every which way possible already y'all," he said pretending to look at an imaginary camera with laughter, she then became visibly irritated "I'm saying though ma, does it even matter now? We're way past that point— shit we should've had that conversation first,"
"True enough our relationship is a bit unorthodox, and we should've had these conversations prior, but it's important moving forward just in case though babe; What if I accidentally do something to piss you off, and it triggers you unintentionally? Vice versa..."
