"Ain't you supposed to be headed down to that trail ride? It's going on 2 o'clock now I told you I was fine Trinity," Cassandra fussed at her niece who was fluffing the pillows on the gray upholstered day bed, "I'm comfortable,"

Trinity stepped away while holding her hands behind her back, attempting to restrain herself from anymore fluffing, "Wait this pillow is a little crooked let me just..." she gave it a quick pop and surrendered yet again

"You finished?" Cassandra asks withholding laughter as Trinity nodded "Thank you for everything you've done on this morning, leading up to this afternoon— it's time for you to go out and enjoy yourself though,"

"I know but my main priority is to make sure you're fine before I leave," she then retrieved the 7 day pill planner assigned for Cassandra and emptied out its contents for Sunday; Yet Trinity realized that the previous pills from the day before hadn't been consumed, "Auntie... why are the pills from yesterday still here?"

"Dang," she snapped her finger "I knew we were forgetting a step, Zo was in a rush and had to deliver those forklifts during a certain time, he did all he could before then and just forgot,"

Trinity clenched her jaw in agitation, "This is the most important thing, you have to take your oral chemotherapy medication everyday— he can't just be forgetting , "

"Give him some grace Trinity, he's doing what he can here and there boo,"

"That's not good enough Aunt Cass, he needs to stay on top of it like me, I hate that he got that stupid CDL I swear that's all he cares about now," she began speaking out of anger and although she didn't want to mean it, she definitely meant it

"Come here," she opened her arms inviting Trinity into her embrace as they hugged "Your brother is making a better life for himself, whether you see it that way or not— his duty is not solely to me and neither is yours, y'all have a life to live as well and shouldn't be burdened with the responsibility to take care of me,"

"I was proud of him when he received his CDL, the same way I was proud of your single-member LLC, that you've tossed to the side ever since you got the news of my diagnosis— don't allow what's going on in my life to deter you from operating in your dreams and desires,"

Trinity's salted and lukewarm tears pooled out of her hazel eyes, her Aunt was literally her life line and with her health constantly declining, she felt obligated to put whatever she had going on hold in order to ensure Cassandra was fine until a miracle happened, until then Trinity swore to be hopelessly devoted to her Aunt,
