Bursting through the hospital doors, Trinity stormed over to the marble wood reception desk, "I need to see Cassandra Reed, she was admitted into this hospital last night— could you tell me the room number please?" she asks as the receptionist types in the information "I'm her niece and I need to see her right away,"

"Yes Ms.Reed has been admitted as one of our inpatients, she's in room 3408 however visiting hours aren't until 9am, and she currently has a visitor in the room right now who stayed overnight, Alonzo James?"

"That's my brother," she sighed and attempted to convince the receptionist to let her through regardless of the visiting hours, "Ma'am please,"

"I'm sorry honey but you've just got to be patient, have a seat in the waiting area..." she pointed as Trinity sluggishly walked over taking a seat in one of the chairs

Dave joined her carefully draping his arm around her waist, "You straight?"

"No," she whispered feeling the tears rising to the surface "I should've been home— maybe then none of this would've happened,"

"What exactly could you have done to prevent it? You know her circumstances ma so don't blame yourself for this, if anything it's my fault for being selfish with you,"

She stared into his dark brown eyes, "Last night was perfect, I could literally lay in your arms for the rest of my life, but I promised Aunt Cass that she'd always be my main priority— I got distracted and that can't happen again,"

Dave turned his head to the side slightly sucking his teeth, although her statement wasn't intended to offend him, he felt a little offended by her deeming him as a distraction in a sense; Nevertheless he knew how important her Aunt was and didn't perceive it too deeply,

Moments later Troy entered the waiting area stopping in his tracks once he seen the pair together; Instantly he locked eyes with Trinity first before shifting his gaze onto Dave, who tightened his grip around Trinity's waist pulling her in closer, "Good morning..." he mumbled

"Hey Troy," she spoke quietly and watched him take a seat on the opposite side of her, as if she couldn't feel any more uncomfortable by being seated between these two men,

"I brought breakfast in case y'all were hungry," he said while rummaging through the bag of Chick-fil-A handing Trinity a chicken biscuit with honey, she thanked him of course but when he offered to Dave he was met with pure silence and no type of contact, "...I ran into y'all's Uncle out in the parking garage, he should be up in a second,"

"Uncle Edwin's in town?" Trinity furrowed her eyebrows together "Zo must've called,"

"Guess so, it's been a while since I've seen him," Troy chuckled "Still the funniest man I've known in my entire life,"
