A week seemed like an entire year, the silence had been deafening and unbearable; Trinity had slipped into a state of depression, nothing nor anyone could deter her from it,

Emotionless, broken, and guilt ridden— she spent her days alone in the basement after Cassandra's funeral, just staring out of the window as the world went on,

That was the hardest part for her, even with her Aunt now deceased... the world kept going,

It wasn't fair and she punished herself, seldomly did she ever not feel as though the confessions she had spewed out, weren't the cause of Cassandra's heart attack,

Maybe if she hadn't dumped all of that trauma onto her Aunt, she'd still be alive,

"Trin," Alonzo called out as he descended down the stairs into her room, she could hear extra feet following him which happened to be Soul "I'm all packed up... about to hit the road,"

She remained silent, Alonzo decided to move to Texas with Soul— the decision was made shortly after Cassandra's death; He'd had a job lined up in Houston to drive for a trucking company, and at this rate the pay was excellent and he refused to pass up on the opportunity,

His time had expired in Mississippi, he was ready to live his own life and be free,

Their Uncle Edwin had taken off as well, and gone back to living his normal life after burying Cassandra— it was only a matter of time before Trinity became the last one residing in the home,

"Ain't you gonna give your big brother a hug, a kiss on the cheek, a handshake, something?"

She barely turned her head to look into his eyes, he seemed super sure about his move, this meant a lot to him, he was excited to start his journey and that made her smile a bit,

Getting up from where she sat, she wrapped her arms around his neck squeezing him tightly, he exhaled deeply feeling a weight lifting off of him, the last thing he wanted to do was make it seem as though he was abandoning his sister,

"It's deja vu," said Soul as he pulled her into his embrace as well "... you're more than welcome to join— I'd love to have you Trinity,"

"I know," she gently caressed his cheek but declined his offer as he dropped his head, yet respected her decision "Take care of my brother, and keep him out of trouble please?"

"Anything for you,"

Walking them to the truck outside, she said her final goodbyes to them both and watched as they drove away; Just as she was about to head back inside— Troy's grandmother called out to her, "Yes ma'am?" Trinity answered
