Your Stepdad Tried to Make a Joke

Colby's POV:

Me and my fiancé, Y/n, were currently on a vacation with Y/ns mom and her stepdad. Her mom was a sweet woman, but Y/ns stepdad was questionable. He tried to do what was right as a "dad" since he loved Y/ns mom, but Y/n was only treated like his biological children financially. Y/n and him aren't to close though.

Y/n is a beautiful woman to me, but she struggles deeply with her body image. she is in no way overweight, but she compares her body to other peoples like her mom's or stepsisters' slim figures. So, on the vacation she was pretty hesitant to wear a bikini but i convinced her after a while.

We went to go on a water ride when we saw we had to be a curtain weight combined to go on it. I grabbed Y/n's hand and we stepped on it together. Then i saw the numbers super high and the light at red. Y/n's eyes went wide and her face dropped. I just thought it was my fault since i'm bigger and taller than Y/n. 

"Honey, don't be a jerk."

Y/n's mom said behind us. 

Then i saw Y/n's stepfather put his foot on the scale so it would go up as a joke. He chuckled and got off it. When i looked at Y/n, she was on the verge of tears and i hugged her, rubbing her back gently.
