My parents had started arguing so i had snuck out and went to Colby's house. I knocked on his window, tears streaming down my face from the memories of my parents fighting. Colby looked up from his computer at his desk and when he saw the state of me outside his window he jogged over and opened it, letting me climb in.
He held me in a hug against his bare chest, stroking my hair. He kissed my head and pulled away a little, cupping my cheeks to have me look up at him. His thumbs gently wiped my tears.
"What happened baby?"
He asked softly. I sniffled as more tears came to my eyes as i was panicking.
"Th-they were fighting. My parents were fighting again. The w-were screaming and yelling and being really loud."
He hugged me tightly to his chest again as his chin rested on my head, one hand rubbing my back and the other was resting on the back of my head. I cried in his chest as he held me so gently. He started to whisper to me.
"It's okay... It's okay... I've got you..."
"i-I'm sorry. I'm sorry f-or ruining y-you're evening."
I mumbled. He shushed me.
"Shhh... No apologizing... You never have to apologize for feeling like this or for showing it... You're safe here. You're safe with me. I've got you... You can cry as much as you need to. I'll be here... I'll be here."
Wes stayed there in a comfortable silence for a while till i finally calmed down, but he still held me like that, not wanting to let go.
