Colby's POV:
I woke up to the smell of pancakes downstairs and smiled. I got up and got ready for the day as i looked at the calendar.
Father's Day
I chuckled and once i was done getting ready, i went downstairs. I went down to see my 12-year-old daughter, Y/n, cooking pancakes and singing to music that was playing on her phone. Right after she cooked a pancake and put it on a plate, i grabbed her hands and started dancing with her. Y/n started giggling as we danced to her music and when it ended, i twirled her and kissed her head.
"Morning, sweetie."
"Morning dad!"
She replied sweetly.
I watched her make a few more pancakes and after, she set up the table and we started eating. We ate and talked at the table and after breakfast, we threw our plates away and Y/n turned to me.
"I made you something!"
I chuckled at her and her big blue eyes staring up at me.
"Oh yea? Why?"
I teased.
"It's father's day dummy!"
I laughed and she ran up the stairs.
I sat on the couch and scrolled through my phone till she ran back down. she pranced over to me happily and handed me a rose, a canvas she painted that said "happy Father's Day" on it, some candy, and a card that was all in a gift bag. I chuckled.
"Baby, it's father's day, not my birthday."
I said with a smile as i hugged her.
"I know. But you're my father and i wanted you to know how much i love and appreciate you."
I teared up a i was hugging her close to me and kissed her head.
"Your mom would be so proud baby. She truly would be of how kind you."
"Happy Father's Day, dad."
I pulled away and looked at her and she giggled as she wiped my tears.
"Thank you baby. I love you."
"I love you too, dad."
