Chapter 6: Reconciliation

In the red keep Rhaenyra was by the weirwood tree reading her book when a man approached her she looked up at him and stood up "who are you" the man removed his hood, it was Daemon "hey Rhaenyra ".

Rhaenyra widened her eyes "Daemon!" Daemon quickly put his hand on rhaenyra's mouth "not so loud" she nods and he lets go "what are you doing here if they find out you're here they will...."

She says before Daemon interrupts her "Alicent wants to see you" rhaenyra raised her eyebrows "why" she asked confused "I don't know but it seemed important" Rhaenyra thought for a moment and then looked at Daemon "okay I will see her".

Daemon nods and hands her a hood to wear, they then sneaked through the Back entrance of the red keep and went towards a wooden boat then they started to sail off towards dragonstone.

On their way on the small wooden boat Rhaenyra asks a question "does alicent truly love Bealon?".

Daemon looked at her while he was controlling the boat "they do Rhaenyra I haven't seen Bealon like this before, to be honest I never much like the Hightowers including Alicent but if she makes Bealon happy that's all that matters right".

Rhaenyra looks at him and considers it as she looks at the ocean beside them "yeah I guess you're right" Rhaenyra looks behind watching as the red keep was growing further and further.

Once Rhaenyra and Daemon arrived at dragonstone he lead her towards a secret entrance through the kitchens then they headed up the black stone tower then down a corridor full of ancient tapestry's of old Valeria and the conquest of aegon the conqueror.

with portraits of Aegon, Visenya and Rhaenys and there two sons Meagor the cruel and his wife's and Aenys Targaryen the first and his wife Alyssa Velaryon with there son king Jaehaerys the 1st, the Conciliator.

then at the corner Daemon opened the door and let Rhaenyra in, inside Alicent sat by the fireplace and little aegon was soundly asleep on her bed Daemon shut the door behind, as Rhaenyra look back at Alicent after the door shut she slowly walked up to Alicent and sat next to her.

There was awkward silence at first but Rhaenyra was about to speak Alicent spoke first "Rhaenrya I just wanted to let you know before I ask you the most important thing that before I married your father I never wanted to ruin our friendship my father... wanted me to do it had nothing to do with me".

Rhaenrya was quiet for a moment but stayed quiet unsure of what to say but Alicent knew she got the picture "and the important thing, when I give birth to Bealons child I want you to raise them if things don't work out in this battle".

she looks at Rhaenrya with tears in her eyes, Rhaenrya was taken aback by this and so sudden as well "Alicent what do you mean" Alicent immediately grabs her hand "whatever happens you must protect them Viserys won't take it so kindly when he finds out I bare Bealons child he will cast them out or worse I can't have that happen I love Aegon but he is Viserys son 2nd in line to the throne he might consider them a bastard if that happens they might have to leave me and it will break my heart".

Rhaenrya squeezes Alicents hand reassuringly "no matter what happens Alicent I will make sure father does no such thing even if it means I have to raise them myself" Alicent looks at Rhaenrya "promise me Rhaenrya" Rhaenrya puts her other hand on Alicents a tear know coming down her face as well "I promise" Alicent smiles "Thank you" Rhaenrya smiles chuckling at the same time "Always".

"To think we fell out, it was so ridiculous but I never wanted to you Rhaenrya" Rhaenrya looks solemnly "I know it was ridiculous to be honest I was hurt at first but them Daemon told me the love you have for my uncle and realised Friends don't leave each other over a something that would ruin their friendship they work things out and I truly believe we can be friends, so friends".

Alicent smiles tears streaming down her eyes "yes friends" they embrace a friendship that was broken over Alicents father's manipulation and now as friends again both there hearts felt whole again like a spark of happiness and trust has finally found each other again, joy like the doves flying in the skies to there next destination of home, a feeling of absolute bliss.

Memories of before the death of Rhaenryas mother Aemma and now whole together again all the pain and anger vanished in a second and things felt like home again "It's getting late you should get back before the red keep goes into a meltdown" they both laughed.

A laughter they thought was gone forever but in this moment it returned in full glory, they both got up and they left the room shutting the door as to not wake up Aegons peaceful slumber, Deamon was outside and Alicent gave him a look of thankful joy, Deamon nodded they headed to back entrance Deamon waits by the wooden boat Rhaenrya looks at alicent.

"i promise I will talk to father and make sure he does not do anything rash Alicent" Alicent holds Rheanrya hands "I know you Will Rhaenyra give him hell" they both laugh and give each other a hug, Rhaenrya kneels down and touches her stomach and looks up at Alicent "thought of a name?".

Alicent smiles "Rheagar if it's a boy, and for a girl Visenya a strong woman like you" Rhaenrya smiles and stands up and gives her a peck on the cheek and then joins Deamon on the boat back to the red keep and kings landing.

Alicent watches as she goes further and further out of distance she smiles and heads back to her room, once back she sat by the fire again happy that she has Reconciled with Rhaenrya she finally felt at peace for the first time in a while since her wedding and she was so thankful they were on good terms once again.
