Chapter 31: A reunion at Dragonstone

Two months had passed since Rhaegar had set sail to the seven kingdoms from Mercia with his children and his brother Aemond and friend Alex they sailed around down and passing through the stormlands "Captain the weather doesn't look so we have two options we hold anchor till the weather stops or we head to dragonstone" says the first hand Ethelwolf to captain edburt "Will stop at dragonstone it's only a hour away we should probably be able to reach before whatever weather comes this way" so the ships course changed from kings landing towards Dragonstone.
Inside dragonstone a quard walks into the dining room where Deamon and Rhaenarya with her boys and daemons daughters were eating their dinner "your Grace a ship has arrived in the port of dragonstone they have requested you to come and speak to them" Daemon sighs in frustration "you can tell them to go away" the silence was awkward for a moment till he spoke again "they told us to say 'we have returned home' they said you would understand?" Rhaenyra knew immediately it was Rhaegar she rushed out the dinning towards the docks followed behind Jace, Lucerys, Rhaena and Baela.
When they entered the port she saw Rhaegar and hug him tightly in a motherly embrace holding his cheeks and she looked at him emotionally "you have grown so much my boy" Rhaegar chuckled and waved for Baelon to walk over "my son Baelon he's grown into a fine man" Baelon looks ar Rhaegar with embarrassed cringe, Rhaenrya chuckles, the last time I saw you Baelon you were just a little baby" she held the side of arm "well I'm better at fighting then my father" Rhaeghar playfully shoved his shoulder Rhaenrya smiled at that, Rhaegar then waved his hand forwarding his young Daughter forward "And this is my Daughter, Elizabeth, say hello darling" She looked at rhaegar who nodded "hello. My name is Elizabeth it's a pleasure to.. meet you miss" Rhaenrya kneeled in front of her "the pleasure is all mine my dear, you can call Rhaenrya" she then tickled her with made Elizabeth giggle, Rhaegar smiled and saw his cousins Lucerys, Jace, Baela and Rhaena "my goodness you four have grown since I last seen you" he looks at Daemon "Uncle" daemon nodded "haw was your father?" Rhaegar saw his curious face and nodded "he's actually doing really well".
Then Daemon spoke again this time sharply "and where your brother Aemond" Rhaenyra gave him a sharp look, Rhaegar noticed this he knew her too well "he's set off early to kings landing with Vhagar, don't worry uncle you ain't going to be cast off to someplace again" Rhaegar chuckled, things were tense for a moment before both of the men laughed holding each other in a firm embrace of Joy and reuniting after years They headed inside and where shown to there rooms for the time being.
By evening Rhaegar, Baelon and Alex joined Rhaenrya, Daemon, Lucerys, Jace and Baela and Rhaena for dinner where they told stories of Rhaegar Adventures in the kingdom of Mercia and Wessex his close bond with his friend king Alfred and how he meet Elizabeth's Mother Ophelia and his time as a slave with his friend Alex do not in detail it was a brief retailing for Alex and Rhaegar it was still raw in their minds not to forget nor were they ready for the full telling.
After the feast it was just Rhaegar, Alex and Rhaenrya, Daemon and the others had left "what's happening Rhaenyra" Rhaenrya nodded "the king disappeared and no one knows where he my hunch it was his stupid advisor" Rhaegar spoke up in tone a bit "do you think it was him" Rhaenyra nodded "his hasn't been seen either Rhaegar most likely left as soon as the alarm went off" Rhaegar grimed at the prospect of not killing him straight away but have to find him wherever the heck he is with Viserys.
Daemon and Alex had left to discuss plans on the matter of kings landing leaving just Rhaegar and Rhaenyra "tell me about your daughter Elizabeth her mother more specifically" Rhaegar nodded but the solemn feeling of her lose creep back into his aching soul "she was beautiful very image of her mother and she's got her big brother Baelon to keep her happy when I'm busy but I do miss her loss Elizabeth was cut sort from her mother, unlike my son Baelon whose mother was ripped away from him after Dyana died soon after from her labour, I'm just glad she got some time with her mother Ophelia".
Rhaenrya nodded understanding the pain on those you lose dearly, she placed her hand on his in a supportive embrace "welcome home" Rhaegar immediately hugs her tightly and Rhaenrya embraces him willingly "I'm always be here if you need, now get some rest you had a long journey to dragonstone" Rhaegar chuckled and stands up before he leaves he faces her "thank you" Rhaenyra nodded and watched as Rhaegar went to his chamber to rest.
