Chapter 22: Years past/King alfred/the women by the lake

It's been almost 15 years since Rhaegar and Aemond were banished to the kingdom of Wessex they were then sent to the kingdom of Mercia Rhaegar's father Bealon targaryen was regent to the old king of Mercia and protector of the king's daughter and heir Ælfwynn. Rhaegar was happy to finally meet his father. He always thought that meeting was almost impossible until the day he first saw him, Aemond had almost never meet his second uncle; he got along well with Bealon compared to his other uncle Daemon.
Baelon had married a woman named Ygridd she gave birth to his daughter Rhaegar's Half sister Belarea Targaryen, Rhaegar got along well with Ygridd as his step mother in a way he felt at home being with his father Baelon Targaryen after not knowing he was his father after so years till the events back at pike.
It was a different story for Aemond he grew more into himself and grew closer to Rhaegar but tried his best during the circumstances of his banishment with Rhaegar he was happy he was able to keep his new dragon Vhagar.
Years pass and Rhaegar and Aemond have grown with Belarea forming a trio for the centuries. What was most amusing when they travelled with Baelon they always encountered brawl fighting in taverns and bandits, some entering battle with raiding Vikings losing their way Back to Mercia.
do I would say it was rare I would be lying it happened most days Baelon and Rhaegar both enjoyed the adrenaline of the rush for battle while Aemond cursed to himself thinking it a waste of energy and completely pointless especially since he was forbidden from riding Vhagar into the battles which to him would of made life possible but the kings in Wessex and Bealon degreed that while Aemond lives in the realms of their perspective kingdoms that the riding of dragon Vhagar is strictly forbidden.

Back in the Seven Kingdoms things have been a lot less straight-forward Alicent and Viserys relationship had grown sour and filled with Viserys' contempt towards Alicent never truly forgiving her for the knowledge of Rhaegar's birth coming to light. Aegon and Visenya have grown even closer in their marriage Having four children the eldest Jaehaerys, The second Jeahera, the third Aemond and the youngest who was still an infant meagor.
Rhaenrya had left Kings landing at that point to Dragonstone especially after Harwin strings mysterious death at the hands of fire at Harrenhal and had taken the boys later seemingly her first husband ser Laenor Velaryon was found burned alive by the docks of Dragonstone, later marrying her uncle Prince Daemon.
Helaena Targaryen has refused every marriage offer she was not ready nor did she want attention; she wants love not duty in marriage.
Visenya supported her with that alongside Aegon when he had a day where he was drunk out of his mind.
This of course infuriated most people who complained to Viserys witch irritated him the most. At the end of Most of the men were turned down which also started to insult the great houses of the seven kingdoms.
Otto Hightower was no longer Hand of the king lord strong was hand for a while but perished after getting killed alongside with his son Harwin strong, the new hand of the king was unknown but clever which is why Viserys appointed him hand of the King his name was araforth.

In the east towards Pentos and newly formed kingdom in Essos under the rule of Mehmed the king of Essos and conqueror, Freya had given him two sons and two daughters, her Eldest son named after her Husband Mehmed was so much like Mehmed in ways of combat, archery and the conventions of war and mastery of the blade, but he also had another side to him, he enjoyed history, philosophy, music, art and desire of women like so many men before him which can make him a little impulsive, her second eldest was Alannys was almost exactly like Freya and had her mothers gift of seeing into the future prophecies Freya knew immediately she was her successor to replace her one day.
The 3rd child was Cathrine she was like her sister but had less of Her mother's Quality and more of her fathers search for knowledge and understanding of the way to survive it, she adored her father dearly and enjoyed spending time in king Mehmeds company, the youngest of the 4 of her children is Erick he's a more intelligent person then most like to admit he keeps to himself for the most part but does enjoy company with his brother prince Mehmed, do compared to the two of them Erick prefers learning and master his skills there even do he attends Swordsmanship lessons minus the fact he absolutely despises it.
