Chapter 32: a bastard duaghter of Aegon Targaryen

Katerina wakes up in her village not that far from Kinglanding but near the riverlands and the vale "Kat darling I need you to take the healing leafs and plants to the Maester you can't delay" Katerina had just gotten her main layer of her dress of deep red with lower quality then the high lords and high houses have, she grabs the leafs and plants and began her way towards the local masters hut near woodland area.
she knock the door and maester opens the door "ah my dear Katerina please come in" she smiles and walks in "here is the Leafs and Plants my mother have gathered for" the maester was a old man in his mid 80s and so he couldn't walk as fast or kneel down like he used to so Katerinas mother stepped up for him to continue going he was the only maester with huge medical practice Katerina remembers him saying one 'I left the citadel with medical knowledge but the citadel thought it was too circumstantial that it's unethical and kick me out for not accepting my medical knowledge" but at the end he know it would be a horror, but he didn't care as long as it help a few people out in there time of need "please tell your mother my thanks hey I got what you wanted" she followed him to the basement and handed it to, it was a necklace with a butterfly in its center "I tell you what my dear Katerina it was extremely pricey it came all the way from Oldtown" she chuckles "please you know I prefer being called Kat" the old maester chuckled "I'm old, I have my old habits" Katerina and the maester chuckled.

As Katerina walk back to her house she saw 5 riders coming along the road when she got a closer look one man she didn't know look amazing and could tell he had a kind and honorble aura, the seconed was a man she never saw in the seven kingdoms before she thought he must be from Essos, the next two see recognised immediately prince daemon Targaryen and and Prince Jacaerys velaryon entering home, do her home was more of a Inn then a normal house she walks in and her mother was pouring ale for them, the one man with the strong aura she felt stared at her and she had no idea why, many smallfolk had given her the same look because of her velaryon violet eyes "excuse me miss what's your name" as Katerina was about to speak her mother spoke up "this is my daughter Katerina my lord" He nodded "well I'm Rhaegar and this is my friend Alex from the lands of Africa" Alex simply nodded at her, she shrugged and walk off back to her room.

She later heard a knock on her door as she opened it she saw Rhaegar "my lord?" Rhaegar grined "please call me Rhaegar, may I come in?" She nodded and watched as Rhaegar sat at the edge of her bed "your mother loves you dearly I can see that" she folded her arms "of course she does she raised me on my own I don't think I would be who I am without her, Rhaegar nodded "your mother told me your father is prince Aegon" she sighs and sat next to him "he is but if he cared about me he would of came to see me" Rhaegar nodded knowing to well the nature of his half brother Aegon "your mother has asked me to take charge of you, she feels it is too unsafe for you to remain here the smallfolk are starting to see the resemblance of your father in you" Katerina started to protest but Rhaegar raised his hands which made her fall silent "it's your decision Katerina, but think of what you mother has been dealing with to keep your identity Secret from the rest of the smallfolk here it's a matter of time before bad men will take Advantage of your blood" she thought for a moment if this is what her mother wanted then she can't refuse "ok I'll come with you" Rhaegar nodded "from here on out you will be my ward until will arrive in kings landing, we ride at down until now you must rest we have a long journey ahead of us" Rhaegar left her room and she layed in her bed thinking of what she will see in Kings landing.

She was suddenly awakened by screams and steel apon steel as she looked outside she sees the village set apon flame Katerina quickly gets dressed and rushes down and rushes towards the front door of tavern until a shadow soldier bursts in and starts walking towards her she stumbles back and starts to crawl backwards just then Rhaegar in the nick of time kills the shadow solider for the time being he quickly grabs Katerina and rushes her out towards the village street Daemon and Alex aswell as Jacaerys had gotten the horses, just before Katerina joined Rhaegar on top his horse she turns and sees her mother get pierced from a shawdow arrow through her neck as she ran towards Katerina and the Rhaegar, she screamed and tried to run towards her mother but Rhaegar grabs Katerina as she sobbed and struggled, Rhaegar finally managed to get her on top his horse as her knees failed her in the attempt, he then reared the horse away from the now burning to ash village around them Daemon, Alex, Katerina and Rhaegar all escaped the village barley in the inch of their lives, katerina sobbed on Rhaegar's back inconsolable with grief.
